I may have need for a new car and am finding there’s not a lot I like out there. Any recs? I don’t love sedans as I drive for long stretches and my current sedan fucks with my legs at that seating angle. I have no utility for a truck but may end up getting one to prove I’m a male-identifying male. I don’t want a big SUV as we already have one but small SUVs are super gay.

May I recommend the F150 ecoboost Lariat. Its got plenty of balls and you can just bully the Sallys in their fruity electric fagginwagons as you please.

So, no sedans, no big SUV 's, and no small SUV 's, sounds like you're fucked. All that being said, look at the Lexus NX. It's Rav-4 sized but more plush. You can also pick up a used one and it will still last you forever.

Can you get one for under $75k? That’s part of my issue here. I love the idea of a truck for the occasional times I’d use it - and to prove I’m a guy - but I can’t justify spending that much on a second car that’ll mostly sit in my driveway looking awesome.

Yep, I’ve boxed myself in here. I’ve got this great thing going where I’m super choosy but don’t want to spend a shit ton of money. I’m hoping Mercedes drops the price of the G-class by about 70% next week.

My wife is pushing hard for this option. I’m standing my ground.

It provides cover in this environment and there's enough leg room for gay footsie.

If she's pushing for it, you should listen to Darkside. She's trying to emasculate you.

What’s the opposite of a Tesla?

A Hummer. They have electric options, so you could call it a compromise.

Diesel hummer may be the answer here

In my humble opinion, the SUV is the most overrated car on offer. You can generally haul more stuff with a minivan and a pickup is more rugged. The humble sedan should still be the car of choice.

Subarus are comfortable cars especially for taller men, specifically foresters or outbacks, and I assume the ascent. I think Toyota/Lexus are too bumpy for long rides.

It’s maybe a weird personal thing but my left leg cramps up on long rides in a sedan.

What’s the least gay midsize SUV?

I’m average guy size and my wife’s Tucson is a great ride. I have a Silverado. Ford sucks.

I don't know. I'm a sedan guy through and through. However, I will say this, the Lexus NX I recommend up the thread isn't gay, but it does skew old. It's either old man cat nip or a bunch of 70 something guys have the hots for my 40 something wife and they're looking for an excuse to talk to her. In case you haven't deduced this, she drives one.

All this wanting to be a man driving to the grocery store, buying stuff that real men put there so you can fill your gay gatherer cart.

Jaguar F Pace S. You should be able to get that below $75k. Perfect size. Great SUV.

The hot hatch comment made me piss in my pants. Lol

I recently bought a car. I hate and did not not want an SUV. Sedan only. I looked around and there aren’t many sedans available anymore. There were very few dealerships that had any inventory. Chevy, Mazda, and Hyundai all had vehicles that might be delivered soon. Kia had cars available. I wanted really badly to not like it but I didn’t hate it. There was way more room than any Buick, dodge, or Ford sedan I ever had. I think I have like a 7 year 70k mile warranty. So far so good.
