The entire season is a waste. He couldn't throw a fastball for a strike to save his life; they need to put him on the IL and let him do a couple of rehab starts in Charlotte to find his release point, and then bring him back for a half dozen four inning starts and call it a year.

If I were the owner of a baseball club that has played like this team has this year, I'd put all of them on suspension bring up a collection of players from every level in your minor league system and play it out till the end. this team quit and its all of their fault, including of course the manager, GM, Coaches and the team president.

Timmay has performed a little better since he's moved to #2 in the batting order. He really couldn't have gone anywhere except up, but its something.

Additionally, Benintendi has been hitting quite well since moving to the leadoff spot. .807 OPS over the last month. .321 avg, .375 OB%, with 12 steals as the leadoff man.
