You should be able to get decent sliding door with installation from Home Depot for about $1500

Just a regular sliding door that is not a constant leak for heat and AC. I know the whole thing will have to taken out as my current setup is 60 years old and metal.

Sliding patio door. We had ours replaced in May for about $1300 total, including removal and haul away of the old door. Its a nice door with a white finish. Has the blinds inside the glass.

Also got a $90 Menards rebate as we purchased the door on our own.

Having it done tomorrow...basic door with shades built in around $1800...my guy is installing it for about $600, but I think that may go up a bit (and I think that's cheap)

pfft...It slides open, it slides closed, it locks. Waste of money. Should have went with my gut and bought the Acme.

Agreed. I haven't noticed anything particularly outstanding about my Pella doors and windows.

We did this a few years ago. The install was like 1.5-2x what the door cost plus purchasing that door.
