I love Blues Brothers. Great music. Good story. Lots of comedy that still seems timely.

I saw on facebook that Dan Mc Neil called Belushi the most overrated comedic actor of all time. He must be hitting the junk again. He had signature roles in two iconic hits over a three year span and then went teets up. Obviously, no longevity and time would likely have resulted in some bad cash grab roles as he needed money to support his lifestyle. But its not really fair to speculate. Its also just as possible he would have had a more dramatic second act to his career, like Bill Murry. He had a great, brief run.

Yeah, but McNeil probably thinks Jim Belushi is funny...and to be honest, his comic tastes lost me with his overt love of I Love You Man.

He also did a great job playing against type in “Neighbors” (as did Ackroyd).
