I have been binge watching a ton of these on Paramount, and the whole plot seems just ridiculous

Every episode consists of

Bar falling apart
Owner that just stands around
Bartenders that don't know how to make drinks
Cooks that don't know how to cook

Taffer comes in and

Sinks 50K in remodeling
Mixologists teachers bartenders to make a specific two drinks(I'm guessing these are the only two drinks they will ever have to remember)
Professional Chef teachers cooks how to exactly two dishes(see above)
Bar fails stress test
Bar sort of does good next night

What am I missing? (I've googled every bar after the show and it seems they all close 3-6 months after Bar Rescue comes in)

They are not really "rescuing bars" it seems?

I like when the kitchen is just some homeless guy in the closet with a microwave and they teach him how to make beef bourguignon as a finger food.

When I went to college, I really became interested in cultural anthropology. Our behavior isn't that different from other primate species. I am reminded of that fact every time I read the posts of Frank Coztansa and Caller Bob.
