Have not listened to either station all summer, nothing against the stations, just not big into baseball.

I am actually shocked AM sports radio in any markets is still happening. With twitter, youtube, podcasts, etc.etc. our ADHD society will leave on a channel and listen to live radio while commercials are playing? Do hosts still do a tease?

Nonetheless, in regards to Score Hosts, past and present

Mulligan and Haugh I have no interest,0 in what either say

Bernstein was the best the Score ever had back in early 2000's I will still listen to his Bears postgame remarks. A greater twitter follow during Bears season

Holmes -like Mully and Haugh, bland
he
Parkins -Was real high on him when he came, has not really grown. I honestly thought by now he would be on a national stage.

Spiegs - Somehow Smug and not interesting

To the past, I will never ever understand the love of Mike North....he was unlistenable and when he did talk sports, was always awful in analysis.

Gambling keeps them afloat. However, future hosts will make dick, and they will be Joe Ostroski types.

I see on Ostrowski's Twitter page that he is bragging about "61% in 2021 Circa Million." What does this mean and why is it significant?

i thought he was at his best during the mid-late 90's bulls threepeat. not really a b-ball fan, but i made sure i'd try to listen to him with his evening bulls reports. today's dan plays the same predictable sjw violin every day. the same note.

Part of Bernstein's problem was that he began to let adoration from his well-off white collar types friends, family members, and twitter followers influence his programming decisions. We joke that Dan was doing Radio For People On Twitter, but when you look back at the times where he was the most insufferable for extended periods of time (Penn State, UCLA hiring Steve Alford, Patrick Kane rape allegations, etc.), his decision to harp on these subjects make more sense if the person programming the show isn't doing so for mass appeal, but for a small sect of people they want to impress. Yeah, ball jokes and "by cracky's" got you to the promised land, but now you have the chance to have doctors and lawyers and intellectuals tell you you're Really Smart and One Of The Good Ones at cocktail parties.

It's like what happened with Bud Light: that marketing exec didn't okay that promotion because she thought it was a lock to sell more beer, she did it because she's a Manhattanite who wanted praise from other Manhattanites for proclaiming that AB is on the right side of history.

Uncle Terry's Ditka grilling of Da Coach would cause many of them to gasp in shock.

I can keep going all day, regularly interact with people of all ages all day long and even the younger kids find the millennials annoying and soft.

Always find it interesting that posters inadvertently expose their lack of exposure to the general public via their posts and then argue with those of us that are actually out interact with the soiled masses on a daily basis.

This place is not as enjoyable as exposing goofs that claim to be medical professionals on other sites, but still have to admire the pluck of the be wrong, but go strong posters.

To be fair. Bud Light never had Dylvan Mulvanney advertise for them. All they did was send her a can with her face on it like they do for many people. The Charlie Kirks and other right wing weirdos spread it fast and wild that Bud Light was supporting trans people like the phsycos they are. Bud light SHOULD be trying to get everyone to drink their product and to be honest no normal person isn't drinking bud light cuz someone else drank it they didn't like. If you are boycotting anything because of something like this then you're just an idiot. Sure, did they take a hit for a few weeks maybe but no real person cares and it will be back to normal sooner than later.

that whole bud light thing is ridiculous. it makes the entire MAGA crowd look like a bunch of morons. They're supposedly all for the constitution and individual rights but first time someone is different than them they are ok with denying that person their fundamental constitutional rights.

I don't know about that. This one is sticking way more than I thought it would. People realized they don't need Bud Light in their lives.

Who's constitutional rights were denied? The dude made a ton of money from this, he will get booked on the lefty rubber chicken circuit for the next few years.

It does seem the term "woke" is now taking on a new meaning as people from all political persuasions are starting to wake up and see the impact of the soft on crime agenda, even saw CNN playing video from one of the smash and grab mob things which they would never have done three months ago.

The Score appears to really have gone on the cheap and cut back on Bears talk guests.

From what I can tell, they seem to have a lot of Bears guests, not big change from last season with the exception of losing the radio rights on WBBM and not having Joniak/Thayer any longer.

Does Grote still cover the team? I found it curious that he was in studio on Monday filling in for Mulligan (which seemingly is becoming a common thing also), but then they had Dan Wiederer on from a Tampa airport. Wouldn't Grote also be in TB if he was covering the team or is the Score's version of coverage just home games (like Bernstein when he covered the Bulls in Chicago except for the Finals but then likes to tell reporters stories)?

Maybe cutting back on Grote covering the Bears on the road?

Could be but it's not out of the realm of possibility that Grote flew home Sunday night. Also, they just added Chase Daniels as a regular guest today.

Haven't seen any Score Bears talk visits this season from Michael Lombardi, and Boomer Esiason. Trent Dilfer is now a coach. Hub it appears is only making limited rare appearances.

They need to have J.T. O'Sullivan on their payroll. I believe they auditioned him last year, but he wasn't particularly animated.

Remember Uncle Terry talking about the insane amount of money they used to pay guys like Buddy Ryan to be experts back in the day.

It seems to be more about allowing the experts to pimp their podcast or site than actually paying them a ton of money.

Just read the recent Audacy financial release. Looks like a creditor led recap. Not sure if it will take a prepack b/k filing, but it is coming. Revenues were down 5% in the quarter and are tracking down 9% for the current quarter.

“ As noted in our recent public filings, we remain in constructive conversations with our lenders to recapitalize the company’s balance sheet to establish a strong financial footing and position the company to capitalize effectively on our growth opportunities. Notwithstanding current challenges, Audacy has established a strong position as a scaled, leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company distinguished by our exclusive premium content and top positions across the country’s largest markets. We salute our team for their strong work delivering solid growth against our key performance metrics and serving our listeners and customers with excellence.”
