This is a great change. The Bears weren't creative enough to come up with their own logo so they had to take the idea from the University of Chicago. The Cincinnati Reds logo is the exact same, but red. Plenty of high schools across the country have the same style C logo too. I've got a Bears flag I'll put out on some game days with the bear because it's way cooler than the boring C. People would confuse it for the local high school a few miles away.

I've always thought of the bear head as the primary logo. It is great.

The "C" tops out at a C-.

I’ve said it for years. Put the bear head inside the C. That should be the helmet. Make the C bigger so you can get a bigger bear head to fit inside.

The new primary bear logo is in Madden 24. It's in the play menu screen, the score graphics, etc. I like it, it's a lot less boring than the C.

Going through the list of NFL teams, the Vikings are the only other team where their primary logo is not on the helmet. The Rams and Bengals don't really count. Their helmets just have designs. And the Browns logo is literally the helmet.

Eagles have the wings on their helmets but the primary logo is an aggrieved bird.

The Bears still have the wishbone at midfield, but they clearly want to distance themselves from Chicago, just like their fans.

The wishbone is still at midfield in the game of course -- what's interesting (it's probably not) is when you rebuild/create a new stadium for the Bears in franchise mode, the bear logo appears at midfield. In my opinion, it looks much cooler.

I can see them doing what the Los Angeles Angels did where they refer to themselves as just "the Bears" and "Bears football" in preparation for their move to the suburbs.

Actual Bears should sue the team for the reputational damage they suffer by being associated with this pathetic franchise. The new mascot should be something irrelevant like a squirrel or something.

The only thing I don't like about the Bear head logo is the eyes makes it look scared or, at the very least, surprised.

Just imagine it is reacting to Justin Fields completing a pass, then it all makes sense.
