Next massive release set to hit shelves 9/6 on XBOX. Bethesda's next big IP.

Review embargo lifts 8/31. Very interested to see the response.

I saw a couple of trailers for it. The combat looks awesome. You can switch between 1st person and 3rd person. Lots of ways to mod weapons and it looks like you can carry 12 weapons between melee and guns.

Also required is building outposts. Not sure if there is a way to automate that.

getting a lot of meh reviews from major outlets. 7/10 range.

But also seeing some perfect scores in there as well.

Can't recall ever seeing a AAA game come out with this much of a range of review scores. very weird.

Some of the YouTubers I follow got to play it early and they were also surprised for the low and high scores. They think the ratings should be in the 8.5 to 9 range.

Probably the best release Bethesda has had in terms of bugginess.

Been playing it since Friday. I mean it's a Bethesda game, it's an updated Fallout/Elder Scrolls in space. If you like those games (I do) you'll like this (I do). Definitely not getting into it hardcore yet, as I'm waiting for some QoL mods to filter in, but it seems to be in a pretty good spot playability wise.

Started Bounty Hunter. Usually go with the suggested "best" build on a first playthrough until I figure out what's more fun and restart.

Here is one guy I follow on YouTube's top 5 builds. Bounty Hunter is one of them

so far based on what I've read and seen on YouTube this game looks like trash.

FInally got around to upgrading my GPU and have a 7900 xtx on the way from B&H, and lo and behold I got a free Starfield bundle with my purchase. I'm excited to see what this game is like, I know it isn't delivering on what everyone thought/hoped it would be at its best, but Bethesda has rarely steered me wrong in the past.

Still playing it. Modded up on a PC it’s good enough, wouldn’t touch it on an XBox though. There’s some high points and lot of quests/systems that seem half-assed/unfinished. As an open world Bethesda game it’s just fine. It might be great by the third expansion, but it’s fine for now.

Yeah I'm playing it here and there but I feel I haven't really gotten to the point where the game hands you the keys, but it feels alright. More Space Skyrim than Space Fallout, with not as much No Man's Sky-esque untethered exploration mixed in as everyone hoped there would be.

Looks fantastic though, had to swap in a new CPU to make the most of the XTX but now it looks fantastic.
