When it comes to talent, the offensive line is far better than it was when Poles arrived. The injuries are a legitimate concern, but our depth is better than it was.

I'm quite certain that center--regardless of who is playing there--is not the strongest position on the Bears' offensive line.

They have Wright and Nate Davis as the worst offensive linemen and Whitehair as the best.

This is silly, just watched the Titans RG who had a 1 rating against the vaunted Bears D-line and he looked solid.

Interesting to hear Eberflus say everyone except Jenkins was good to go during the presser today, seems they are fine with Carter filling that slot.

Would loved to have been in the room when Poles and Eberflus were evaluating the guys they inherited for the first time, nothing against Vildor, but they started drafting DB's early and often as soon as they had the chance.

Pace cornered the market on CB under 5'8".

I think Vildor was miscast as an outside corner out of necessity. I think he could have developed as a nickel but then Pace just kept on drafting people with the same deficiencies.

Vildor lost confidence and could never get it back.

wouldn't having one gaping hole (Texans left side/center or Vikings right side/center) be worse than the Bears uniform mediocrity?

Vildor lost confidence and could never get it back.
Once he got the vote of confidence from Seacrest, it was all over.

I'm curious about who the Bears will use their #1 waiver wire spot on.

Didn't they already pick up Some Guy from the Colts?

Rubbish. Not with the great defensive secondary that they have as well as the upgrade in the linebacking corps. Their weakness is the interior line being able to stop good running backs.

The linebackers will be rendered ineffective when they are on their ass because the olineman chew through the dline. And I hope the secondary can cover for (forever?) with zero pass rush.

The lack of a strong D line is going to be a huge problem.

In a league that is basically trying to phase out kick returns, why do the Bears have two seperate returners, that do nothing else? Not sure about that roster construction

Tyler Scott was fine but he didn't look comfortable as a returner. Velus sucks though.

Teven Jenkins will miss at least the first four games of the season, but no one on the Bears beat has been able to find out how he injured himself. What a sad group of incompetents.
