THAT was a fun run. I still remember when we clinched against Pittsburgh

That was such a fine time. That playoff run cant be beat, 98 was close behind it. This one is ok but with 3 wild cards it aint the same

Agree with the OP. Nothing will top the Cubs getting oh so close and then blowing back to back games in spectacular fashion.

ya 2003 was pretty fun. they choked though.

1984 was better. because they surprised everyone after being shit for 39 years. Cubs fever caught the town all that summer. It revitalized Wrigleyville and made the Cubs/Wrigley field into a tourist attraction. The Cubs have profited off that 1984 season for another 30+ years.

2016 was the best because they were good and nobody thought it would happen and that last game was pure movie magic.

ya the 2016 cubs playoff run was the absolute best. remember the rally vs the Giants to eliminate them in SF. Also the big games in L.A. and the magical night when they won the pennant at home. And ya, down 3-1 in the WS and that game 7.

Sure falling short of winning the World Series was tough at the time. But looking back, it was just an incredible season. Great young starting pitching, the initial excitement of Dusty at the tiller, contributing vets like Karros and Grudz, Borowski out of the pen closing games.

All fun memories looking back now. Great season to be a Cubs fan.

100 years from now, they'll get to play in the NLCS and WS against teams that are crippled by injuries again. #Believe

I was pretty young then. Punky Brewster had an episode where she and Henry went to the playoff game. One of my distant friends ended up dating her years later. Huge rack. I think she slapped god in the face by getting them decreased
