I'm updating this thread every time this guy drops a video.

He published a new one today and rips everyone on the offense, all the way down to positional coaches. Says the unpreparedness was so obvious to the naked eye and completely unprofessional. Guys going left when they should go right, guys running into each other, bizarre play designs that call for guys to run similar routes to similar places on the field, etc.

Then there's Fields. This is objective so I don't want to see the hawk here or any of these "just give him 45 seconds in the pocket and you'll see what he can do" guys here: the guy just doesn't know what NFL open is. He's waiting and waiting and waiting. O'Sullivan repeatedly points out where Fields has time and has guys open he just doesn't pull the trigger. That just confirms the speculation since his rookie year: he doesn't know what open is and is not a anticipatory thrower. He needs to "see" his guy open rather than throw to a spot in anticipation that the guy is gonna be there and the defender is either a step behind or is right there too but the placement is such that the defense cant do nothing about it. It's all obvious in this breakdown.

He simply has not gotten better since being a rookie. That's all there is to it. He either is not putting in the work (which was reported as a problem when he was a draft prospect then quickly shot down for being an un-politically correct thing to say) or he's just not cut out for it. Either way, the writing was really on the wall last year.

Moore should have had a minimum of 7 receptions from the video. It's embarrassing how afraid he is to throw the ball.

I guess that is sorta my point in the other thread. The best way for him to understand what NFL open is will be to just throw into tight windows and force throws regardless if he turns it over.

I also this this emphasizes Brick’s point that at Ohio State all of his WRs were 5 yards separated open at worst. You just aren’t going to have that level of openness all that often at the NFL level.

And now every defensive coordinator in the league, especially one as seasoned as Todd Bowles, is going to 100% expect the Bears to feed Moore in an attempt to cover for their offensive woes. Good players like Antoine Winfield Jr. and Jamel Dean are going to be all over it.

Moore is good enough to win those battles. The only pass he threw with anticipation was to Kmet. Kmet is too slow and stiff to create separation.

He probably is good enough to win his matchup with Dean, but Winfield Jr. is a really good player. It won't matter, he can't overcome how much the rest of the offense works against him. You are right that Kmet is every bit as bad as Chase Claypool, that's one thing not many people are talking about.

Great thread.
" ...details and nuance don't exist in this offense"

Besides the Fields failure the coaching staff is crap.
On defense we have a guy running a defense he doesn't have talent to run so it just geta run over week after week.
What a clown show.

I just watched the Jordan Love video. Jordan Love isn't an all world QB by any means but the basic stuff he was doing (looking defenders off, firing in anticipation, throwing to spots) is like light years ahead of where Fields is at. And again it's basic QB 101 stuff. All the more reason to doubt field is going to evolve into something other than what he is.

You can't blame the coaches when fields had two totally different staffs and players and he does the exact same fucking things

Silky O'Sullivans was a great irish bar back in Memphis that used to have goats walking around on the roof. Also, the first time a young Hawg Ass had him one of those paint buckets mixed with all kinds of rum and such, didn't end well.

 I recall Silky's and the goats from when we were there in December 2021 doing the St. Jude marathon. Fun place.

There will be a game where we will get to see Bagent run the offense, it will be interesting to see because he comes from a pass happy system where you throw to spots and rely on guys to make plays, he is kind of the antithesis of Fields who wants to see a guy wide open before he pulls the trigger.

If he has any success it will be expose Fields and will facilitate the end of his time with the Bears and as an NFL starter, he will of course be picked up by someone who thinks they can fix him like teams have done with Marriotta.

I don't have an hour and a half to devote to a guy that will not be on the team in a year.

Tldr: more of the same with marginal improvement but not enough to say they're close to turning a corner. O line sucks and is not cohesive but Fields is still missing throws/reads that all QBs at this level are expected to make, so not good. His footwork sucks and is ironically very slow physically when dropping back and throwing. Offense needs a major makeover like it got last year to cover up fields deficiencies. Moore is good but not elite. Kmet is dumb. Braxton Young and the right guard also got a lot of hate. Just bad all around.

It amazes me that Fields can't read coverages and anticipate rout openings after 28 starts in the NFL. It's bad. And it seems that he is less accurate on throws then he was last year.

I actually thought this Tampa Bay game was the worst game Fields has ever played.

So he's gotten worse. I still have a sliver of hope that he can turn it around. But I'm scared he won't.

The Kmet stuff was alarming. A few shots taken at Claypool even though he also had a few good moments during the game. Also some shots at Getsy. Shouldn't be a surprise.

Yeah he's taken a lot of shots at Kmet in videos 1-2.

For a guy in a contract year, Kmet is having an absolutely disastrous season.

I found this guy last week, he was on ESPN 1000, or his stuff was. He's fantastic. Rips Kmet so much and Fields plus play design as well. Lays football out as plainly as possible. Gets repetitive sometimes verbally but man, this is such an indictment.

I guess Kmet is being advised by Chase Claypool.
