The clips show a guy that didn't make an effort on at least two blocks.

Even if that's what you believe it shows, it was 2 plays out of dozens. He's the best blocking receiver on the team. I'm confident that if we analyzed the film we would likely see Mooney, Kmet, and Moore not look good on some blocks.

You know I'm looking through Renner and Schmitz's twitters and I'm not seeing any compilations of pathetic effort from any other receiver.

Because the Fields shielding media hasn't told you to manufacture rage for them. Be patient. You're still convinced that he was loafing on those 2 routes.

Claypool has been one of the best run blocking receivers his entire career. Run blocking is mostly about effort. Claypool was in the top 5 to 10 in contested catches for his career when he was traded. Making contested catches requires effort and concentration.

If you want to call him a diva, you'll get no argument from me.

I'm not sure why Belichick was interested in trading for a lazy bum.

“Big, fast, really good hands, big catch radius,” Belichick said of Claypool. “He’s kind of always open, reminds me a guy like Gronkowski, no matter where you are on him, there’s a place where he can reach and get the ball that you can’t reach and get the ball. I know they use him in a variety of ways, down the field, catch-and-run plays, hand him the ball, plays and things like that.

“So he’s a big physical player. Can block, block the point of attack, run hard at a tackle, down field receiver as well as a short and intermediate receiver. so he can get you in a lot of different ways. Tough matchup.”

I'd like to know where that quote is from, when it was said, and why the trade never materialized.

They offered less than the Packers and Bears.

Also, why is the narrative that he struggled last year? When healthy, we have countless game threads about him being open, but Fields targeting St. Brown or some other bum. Claypool finally exploded against the Lions about his lack of involvement.

The major concern is why a guy in a contract year is phoning it in. If he doesn't like it here I can understand why but he is putting that tape out for 31 other teams to see. It's like he hates money.

Realistically at his age he has more than enough. He can do something else with his life once this is over. He got a $6.6m head start on life, which means he can afford a starter home in Canada.

Traded. I think eberflus is gonna have trouble enforcing HITS if this guy plays like again and he'll want him gone soon enough. Unless the point is to totally tank which might be the plan, in which case maybe keep him sure.

Poles will keep him because cutting him means losing face in front of the fans and franchise. He was a major acquisition so Poles probably wants to salvage him to avoid looking worse than he already does after an underwhelming off-season in which he had the #1 pick and the most money to throw around.

Reckon its more about what he doesn't do, which is much of anything at all.

Last year he was consistently open when healthy and Sunday the Sullivan video shows him open without being targeted. Same with Moore.

Edit: Sullivan complained about "85" as much as he complained about Fields. No tweets about Kmet. Sad!

My best guess is that he's so pissed off that he doesn't care. When he goes out for a contract, he will have a legitimate argument that he was traded to the worst possible situation with a poor OL, QB and OC.

Score saying that Eberflus met with Claypool about his lack of effort this week and it is possible he will be inactive this week.

Fuck that. Eberflus allows this nonsense. Bears announced 13 starters on offense this past Sunday and the rumor is that Claypool doesn't like being considered a reserve. So they had to announce him pregame. Now all of a sudden you're gonna have a closed door meeting with the guy.

Maybe 'flus consulted Grifol after he sent Colas down to ask him how to be a tough guy.

What a joke.

yeah definitely not a good look.

I am done with him. A horrible trade of a valuable draft pick. Really liked him at ND in college and I dont recall seeing all this then. Maybe it is easier to miss at the college level.

Moore and Mooney are their top 2 receivers. Hopefully Scott can move into the 3rd WR spot.
