He'll play and start against the Bucs. Not even a question, the GM has his reputation staked on this player and they are going to force feed him the ball to make that trade look better.

Did you watch or listen to it?

I led the meeting. I am Eberflus!

I only asked because it would be somewhat of a stretch to hear Eberflus' comments and genuinely believe Claypool will be inactive because of a couple of bad blocks. Nate Davis and Kmet would be cut if that were the case.

We're 18 games into Eberflush's tenure as Bears Head Coach, and his most (only?) notable accomplish is convincing the Soldier Field grounds crew to change the stadium turf to Bermuda grass.

We could have had Jimmy Harbaugh and avoided all of this.

This is the other half of it. If accountability is the new name of the game then you've got about a third of the roster who needs to get the same treatment. Many guys who the Bears either traded for or gave big money to this off-season.

Trevis Gipson worked like a dog this off-season and put max effort in every play of training camp and the preseason and they cut him because he would take away snaps from guys drafted by Poles. Now they want to say its about effort?

Harbaugh was never leaving Michigan. I know you are in the remedial classes but you have been schooled on this more than once.

I haven't heard any of that. I didn't hear all of it. I heard a lot about most of it, but what I did hear, I did not hear any of that.

Eberflus is Trestman part deux.

So does this dude scan the Internet for feedback on his players before he decides to discipline them? Why didn't he just get in Claypool's face during the game.

somehow I missed the fact that this is Claypools contract year. Wanny was talking about that today on Parkins and Meat. Like who is not motivated by a payday? That is insane.

Bears WR coach had some comments that he thinks he found the button to push on him and he was early to meetings and such. Not believing it.

He can just find another job that’ll offer him an 8 figure contract as a 25yr old with a Notre Dame degree.

6 of those figures will be to the right of the decimal point, though.

I doubt it. I don't think that Eberflus is a phony. He may not be a good football coach but i don't see him as a guy who lets players dog it.

Velus Jones appreciates Claypool taking all the flak for him this week.

I thought it was histrionics when people were saying in camp that he could be cut. A third round pick being a healthy scratch in Week 1 of year 2 says that was a real possibility.

He probably should be cut.

Ironically Jones sucking is why you have Claypool. Claypool is Poles' acknowledgement that Jones sucks - he's not making that trade if Jones as actually adding value to the WR room.

I think it was more in response to Fields sucking as a passer.

Any chance Claypool wants to get cut? Then sign a minimum deal with a contending team that has a QB that can throw a ball more than 4 yards, and try to make a contract push. Let's face it, he could give 100% effort every play, and he's not going to have great receiving numbers. Moore is the #1 WR, and he had 2 targets...

3 catches and 30 yards would do it!
