This is more to me like the Quinn-Krenzel-Hutchinson years. With Trestman you had legit NFL players like Forte, Marshall, Jeffery, Cutler, Bennett, etc. But Trestman couldn't manage men. We don't have that kind of talent anywhere except for DJ Moore. And he's literally one single player. So to me this reminds me more of the other era where there's no talent and there's someone in over his head at QB leading the entire team into irrelevancy.

1969 you still had Butkus, OB (final year), Buffone, and an injured Sayers. 1974 you had Buffone and Bobby Joe Green and Bobby Douglass. Offense was 25th out of 26.
