8th all time and has not yet played the equivalent of two seasons (he's played in 29 games). With just 11 more sacks, which seems possible by halftime on Sunday, he will be 5th all time.

But again once you fire the coaching staff the above will be erased from history and he'll resume his path to MVP glory.

3.48 sacks per game on average

Tony Pauline wrote this about Fields pre-draft. If only Pace took heed:

Quote:
According to Pauline, there are concerns in the NFL community revolving around Fields’ ability to consistently scan the field and go through his progressions.

“The main concern is that Justin Fields stares down the primary target. He doesn’t look away from the primary target. He doesn’t process things as quickly as they want him to. During the Senior Bowl, I mentioned how there was one team who has broken down all of Justin Fields’ passes in 2020. They said that just seven times, he looked off the primary target. The other 200+ passes he threw to his primary target.”

That primary target thing seems like an obvious issue. I don’t know, I’m no expert, but it seems like when I see Fields staring in a direction, he’s actually staring in that direction.

Hire this man!

“I like him, I don’t love him — I would not draft this player in the first round. I graded these players off the tape that I watched. Based on my evaluation, to me, he’s the bottom of the second round. You love his physical talent. But I question the mental part of his game, based on the tape that I watched.”

A lot of people said similar things about Fields. The lesson here is to avoid drafting a QB who lacks the mental game simply because he has exceptional physical traits. If he's not making quick reads and throwing with anticipation in college, he may not be able to do it in the pros.

Sacks weren't kept as a stat in the NFL until 1982.

McCaskey should give this guy a blank check and say " you're hired fix this team."

That should be a dose of reality for what he would bring in a trade

Tim Tebow. So many qb's that have great ability but can't make quick decisions. If you look at it birds eye it does appear the brain matters more than the body when it comes to that position.

It's tough to play QB and it's tough to evaluate QB.

Every quarterback who went No. 1 overall since 1967

1970 — QB Terry Bradshaw, Pittsburgh Steelers
1971 — QB Jim Plunkett, New England Patriots
1975 — QB Steve Bartkowski, Atlanta Falcons
1983 — QB John Elway, Baltimore Colts
1987 — QB Vinny Testaverde, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1989 — QB Troy Aikman, Dallas Cowboys
1990 — QB Jeff George
1993 — QB Drew Bledsoe
1998 — QB Peyton Manning
1999 — QB Tim Couch
2001 — QB Michael Vick
2002 — QB David Carr
2003 — QB Carson Palmer
2004 — QB Eli Manning
2005 — QB Alex Smith
2007 — QB JaMarcus Russell
2009 — QB Matthew Stafford
2010 — QB Sam Bradford
2011 — QB Cam Newton
2012 — QB Andrew Luck
2015 — QB Jameis Winston
2016 — QB Jared Goff
2018 — QB Baker Mayfield
2019 — QB Kyler Murray
2020 — QB Joe Burrow

Favre- 2nd round
Fouts -3rd round
Montana- 3rd round
Moon- undrafted
Warner- undrafted
Brady- 6th round

There’s at least 1 miss on that list. (Hint: 2021)

Changing the thread topic.

A trade is the only logical thing to do. Dont come here with "if that" or "playcall" this. He sucks. He's not the only thing that sucks. But he's the driver of the offense and the driver sucks.

Jets - Wilson may be the only QB who sucks more
Broncos - need a distraction to take heat away from Payton's incompetence
Miami - for when Tua shatters into pieces
Commanders

Anyone else?

A 6th would do, a 5th would be a steal
