You will have to rebuild everything next year because your next HC is likely not going to run the dated Cover-2 defense Eberflus runs and surely will not run the outside zone offense, so you will need much bigger lineman.

You will have tons of cap room to bring in some much needed veteran leadership, especially in the secondary, cannot see the next HC coddling the overpaid Eddie Jackson or keeping the significantly overpaid and very average Cody Whitehair, but your real leadership will come from your next HC.

Heard Biggsy talking about the odd group they used to hire Poles and Eberflus, did not realize that they refused to even interview Mike McDaniel, still do not get how Eberflus could have been the best candidate if you interview Daboll, Flores, Bowles, Quinn, or Pederson.

You surely do not want a HC and GM throwing away picks and draft capital in desperation mode trying to save their jobs after George inexplicably gives them one more year, doing that with Pace/Nagy derailed the franchise for 3-5 years, do not think they want a shiny new 80,000 seat stadium with 60,000 empty seats.

The NFL will likely try to McKaskey proof the stadium deal, especially if the NFL tosses money into the pot to sweeten the deal. The other owners go on and on about what nice people George and Virginia are because they know that ongoing McKaskey family ineptitude leads to easy wins for other owners, but the NFL needs the Bears to be competitive to appease their gambling partners, fan apathy is OK for the owners who win or lose get guaranteed money, but apathy is death to the gaming sites which depend on people paying enough attention to throw money away.

I don't really know why, but I have a hunch that if they look as ill prepared and inept during these next two game as they have so far this season, Eberflus is gone on Friday Oct 6th.

Bears will play 2 games in a ~102 hour span. I think that's all Eberflus gets. If they play better or win one of them, he sticks around.
