No, because there is no fear of accountability in that locker room.

They're not toddlers. I think on every team in the league you would hear a lot of griping from the divas. The Bears haven't done that. You do see the body language on Sundays.

I don't think he's going to be here much longer. Eberflus doesn't even acknowledge him when speaking with the media.

I knew it

This is for Fields, and Fields was put on notice at the same time.

The league has put Fields on notice. It doesn't matter.

He basically said the same thing Fields said and got benched. Why wasn't Fields benched? As the person who drives the entire offense, Fields is the primary reason behind the atrocious play of the offense. No accountability whatsoever from Eberflus.

I'm not convinced Claypool's benching is entirely the result of his criticism of the coaches. I think there is a deeper problem between Fields and Claypool, something Fields has alluded to in the past.

I completely agree.

Edit: Fields frequently targeted stone hands St Brown last year when Claypool was open and Fields talked up St Brown a lot early this season.

Oh so now is when he gets benched? Not in week 2 after he quit in week 1, but in week 4 after a coach's feelings got hurt? I hope they get blown the fuck out today. This team is run by infants.

I just think the receivers deserve someone capable of throwing a forward pass.

Who would you blame? I know receivers are often prima dona’s (sp?) but I’d be pissed too at Fields’ ineptitude.

I am listening to the AM1000 pregame while driving to the cemetery. It is so nice to hear flagship hosts just rip the shit out of the team and the coaches when they are playing badly.

Everyone needs to go. I don’t want this management team picking the next QB or developing him.

He goes from being a "potential #1 receiver" to being deactivated and asked to stay home on game day. Tough day for Caller Bob who I'm sure will bring up a some sort of non sequitur.

Such a strange story. How do you get that confused? Flus said he was given choice to stay or go. Then they say he was told to stay home. How does that get confused? Such a clusterfuck of an organization

I believe he was given the choice, and he did the diva thing. His inactive clothes were in his locker. The Bears are trying to trade him for a 5th; management doesn't want him to lose any more value than he has.

What team is going to want to trade for this idiot after striking out in Pitts and and now Chicago?

A team that wants a receiver with talent. MANY will recognize what the issue in Chicago was.

It'll have to be a playoff team. Probably with an established quarterback.

Barstool says Claypool was at the game. Maybe he bought a ticket.

Playoff teams are often looking for problem players who have worn out their welcome with two different teams with a 12-month period.

Just when you thought the White Sox were Chicago's biggest sports dumpster fire, along come the Bears!

Cincy might be a candidate (with Higgins rib fracture), if he wasn't a locker room cancer.

Eberflus said on Kap and Hood that he wants to set the record straight. Eberflus told Claypool to stay home and he is not allowed to be with the team this week.

Eberflus said he was emotional after the loss and didn't mean to say Claypool was given a choice.

He also said that Claypool would be in the building on Monday and with the team on Thursday yesterday. Eberflus handles pressure as well as his quarterback.

This is so Trestman-y. A person with executive skills would have been clear from day, not hem and haw and then be told by the organization what he needs to say because he didn't have the awareness to say/do it himself.
