that the Cubs would get in playoff contention but would have choked away a comfortable lead with an embarrassing run in the last month of the season, I would have taken it

consider me satisfied with the season

Completely Useless By September

12-16 during the month, including a 5-12 mark during their biggest games of the season. But, the fans are happy!
Business as usual on the Northside.

Stop with this nonsense.

No one is happy they collapsed down the stretch. We all wanted to see them play well and end the year on a positive note. That didn't happen and no one is happy with that.

We are happy that they exceed everyone's expectations on the year. They appear to have a solid core moving forward. They have finally developed some home grown pitchers. They have a minor league system that has talent in it.

Business as usual for the Subdivision.

I too look for every reason to be miserable about my teams. That’s the best way to be a fan.

One could say good dolphin put in an 8th place effort.

This season ended kind of like 2004. But 2004 was The Team With No Weaknesses, so I'm sure it hurt a lot more than losing with bums like Wisdom and Gomes.

take out bellinger's numbers, which is likely to occur, and what is this team?

This is the 101 loss version of trolling.

You didn't say anything. You posted a picture/gif of 100 which makes no sense because the White Sox lost 101 games.

Such poor trolling yet Cubs fans flocking to this thread like moths to a flame.

Satisfaction indeed.

We are happy that they exceed everyone's expectations on the year. They appear to have a solid core moving forward. They have finally developed some home grown pitchers. They have a minor league system that has talent in it.

The Cubs exceeded expectations by 3.4%(Vegas predicted wins). However, when September rolled around, playoff expectations were somewhere in the 60% range.

I mean, wow, talk about lowering the bar.

Yep.

All this "exceeding expectations" loser talk is like Sir saying he took his name out of consideration for a job that he didn't get
