Dropped about 30lbs from June-now. Hooping with my Sauna Jacket, Couple pair of fleeced sweats and an occasional bike trail run on the lake did the trick. about 2-3 days per week of exercise made it happen. Didn't really have to change my eating habits either. Just had to exercise. Felt good because I also think that I relieved some stress as well.

Nice. Gives me hope

i went the opposite route. All my weight loss has been attributable to 100% diet and 0% exercise. Probably why it's taken me 10 months to lose 40 pounds. That combined with me having one of the worst resting metabolisms known to man.
I recall you saying that. With my bad eating happens i could never have gotten it done. I did eat some fruit along the way from time to time but most of it came from exercising. I'm just glad that I'm still able to do it. Seeing some of guys die at early ages put some things on my mind. Just attended a funeral for one of my guys that had a stroke ( I believe in his sleep) which caused an aneurysm in his brain. He was 46.

Looks like my diet is essentially over. Struggled the past couple weeks and ended up gaining a pound. Taking my mom out to dinner now every weekend is not making the diet easy. heading to Vegas next week for 4 days is going to ruin it completely.

Current weight: 202.6
Starting weight: 241

Final loss in nearly 11 months of hardcore dieting = 38.4 pounds.

Goal weight: not met

Sorry you didn't meet your timeline. But you had good reason. So I vote you continue taking mom out and enjoy your trip and then upon your return consider moving the goal posts, ie. continue eating well and perhaps adding some kind of exercise you are not presently doing. Even walking would help.

Nice work on loosing nearly 40 lbs.

Started strength training, goal is to run a 5k in the fall. Body is feeling a little sore today. Not sure what opinions are here, but really liking the program my PT has put together so far. Has be doing full body exercises M, W, F with T, Th and S as cardio / cross-training. Sunday rest.

I reupped at the gym last October and last week cancelled the membership. I was using it semi-regularly but not much at all the last 6 weeks or so. It has been a bit nicer out and we adopted a new dog so I have been walking more but I need to get into the basement and use my Smith machine and Total Gym with some regularity to try to get some strength and flexibility back.

What kind of stretches do you do to improve flexibility?

I own an old medieval racking system in the basement and that works wonders.
