How is this guy any different than Fields? Maybe the Bears should draft the Notre Dame QB?

SC is going to struggle big time when they get to the midwestern conference.

Can’t handle weather.

Don’t do a preemptive “he needs assets!!” bit.

I haven’t seen hardly any of Caleb’s games, but look like he melts down just like every other hyped QB does when under pressure. Usually they can hide it until the Pros, but ND’s line is eating the Trojan’s lunch.

I thought he was a Lawrence type prospect but this game makes me nervous. ND dominated Clemson without Trevor; Trevor came back and dominated ND. The difference was clear.

Williams looks unable to dominate on his own, which is concerning.

He looks like Mahomes versus the Bucs in Super Bowl 55.

Also, Jac Collinsworth and Jason Garrett really really suck.

Painful coverage team. Garrett may be worse calling a game than coaching one.

Losing to ND as a starting QB is more embarrassing than losing to the Bears as a starting QB.

if we get carolina's pick we probabably dont need to tank. even if fields really is turning a corner you still take a QB.

No, it'll help him at the next level. Caleb looked like Dak Cousins-Fields yesterday.

Take a look at your boy against mighty App State week one.

My undefeated boy? Looked good against the ranked Hurricanes last night. They got him a toy to play with.

Starting to warm up to Maye, watched the ND game last night to check out the ND LT and Williams, the team will have to pull the trigger on a franchise LT, and if you have the top two picks you pick your QB and maybe trade back with someone in the top 5-8 and pick up the best return you can get, see the ND LT or the Penn State LT should be there if your picking in the top 7, so you get your LT and pick up an extra second you can use to fill your gaping holes at C, G, DE, DT, or improve your TE or WR rooms.

You also could move Fields for a pick, not sure what you get for him, but he looked lost again today and fell back into his bad habit of holding the ball and then turning his back on the defense while he spins around while failing to outrun NFL DE's.

He looked short. I read before the season that he is 6'1" and was surprised because he didn't appear to be so on the field. He was dwarfed standing next to a few people on Saturday. His measurements at the combine are not going to be helpful. He's probably going to be 6"

Dak Cousins-Fields will need to go to a great situation.

The real fun starts when he goes head to head with Pennix and Nix. USC will lose those games. Both of those guys have looked great in big situations

Anthony Herron says that Williams is worthy of the #1 overall selection, but that he is not a generational player.

Laurence Holmes is also a Caleb Williams skeptic, suggesting that he is a product of the Lincoln Riley system.

Well if Larry is skeptical then you can make his HOF bust now.

You mean I can't count on Fields being "better than Drew Brees," as Laurence predicted prior to the 2023 NFL draft?

 yeah what a horrible take. He thought Bryce young was Brees and Parkins was like then you have to take him with the 1 and not trade it. Larry is like I have Justin being better than Brees. Oy. I am sure Larry will find a way to explain around that.

The Young-Brees comparison wasn't even an original thought. He framed it that way though.
