Yeah, he bulked up for the combine so he could break 200 lbs. and then immediately took the weight off.

He's probably closer to 180.

He missed the last half of the fourth quarter because his mom picked him up to take him to school.

Sitting for week 3.

Poles' long term plan has come together nicely all week.

She didn't give him permission to go to the game on Sunday.

He wasn't playing for this year. I considered that apparent in how he spent in free agency with the biggest cash reserves in the league.

Yeah, he was clearly trying to see if Fields is good.

Since 1992, only 4 of 18 teams didn't get a top 3 pick after starting 0-5.

Your argument would be more convincing if: a) the free agents he signed didn't suck; b) the head coach he hired didn't suck; and c) the vast majority of the players he has selected in the draft didn't suck.

The NFC South is a little better than we thought, looks to be 2-3 winnable games in the next month, have the Fins next, but then Texans and Colts at home and a game that rarely wins games, but might be worse at home in your Chicago Bears, if we get through those games winless, we should be in great shape for the #1 pick.

To be real, the Bears only got the shit kicked out of them by the Chiefs and were in the game in the first half of each game they have played. The increase in talent from last year to this is very big and I think that it takes awhile to have this upgrade in talent to see results. Also, I have to wonder how many other young quarterbacks in the history of the draft have had the miserable roster around him that Fields had last year including very weak receivers, and an offensive line patched together with weak players at every position. The fact that Fields survived that season without being buried on the field was because of his incredible talent and athleticism.

I watched Young play in college. Nice college qb. Can you imagine if Young played for the Bear's last year as their starting qb? I thought that if the kid is lucky, he will make a career for himself as a back-up quarterback somewhere.

He had the training wheels off a little on Sunday. I'm fine with him figuring things out next year.

He might get hurt again before the year is up. He looks like a freshman in high school out there against NFL players..

I will definitely cheer for him when his success isn't in conflict with ours.

It's the first time in his life that he has not been on a top team, his parents put him in top high school programs where he was surrounded by quality players, played at Alabama on a team full of first round draft picks, he was coddled and protected by having superior talent around him, but now he is no an even playing field and you can see his obvious limitations.

He's not playing badly for a rookie. Stroud is outplaying him though.

Seventeen teams have started 0-6 since 1992. Only the 2013 Buccaneers and Giants didn't get a top 3 pick. The 2013 Buccaneers are the only 0-7 team that started 0-7 and didn't get a top 3 pick.

Dolphins this week, so 0-6 is a near lock. I worry about the next game. They play the Texans, at home, coming off a bye. That starts off an easier stretch with them with the Colts (without Richardson) at home and then BEARSSSSSSSS

The Colts are better with Gardner Minshew. The Texans and Bears game will be interesting.

Yup, and our loss to Denver will help us out in our quest for the top two picks.

Interesting to read the "Bears needs" in the articles about draft positioning, the out of towners list OG, C, Edge, and DT as primary needs. They see the same thing everyone else sees, wondering why Poles did not see the same issues, it certainly is making for some embarrassing performances, especially at home where this team fails to show up for some reason?
