he nearly cracked and started talking about what's going in israel.

the proxy method was bryce harper's cut-throat gesture/atl. braves radio telling us that harper shouldn't be doing that gesture due to current events in the world/bernstein irritated that the atl. braves radio team didn't expound on what exactly is going on in the world.

very close to busting out.

Les would allude to news breaking of conflicts involving Israel on his show. He was noticably shaken up previously telling stories of many times visiting relatives. Les of course was very afraid to give an opinion on-air.

Get a load of this dipshit that listened to Julie on the radio

The situation is hard to square for lefties and exposes the absolute idiocy of the kids attending some of the left wings most esteemed ivory tower institutions.

Must be tough for an ardent SJW warrior like Dan to listen to kids on college campuses actively support a group that openly talks about wanting to wipe Jews off the face of the earth.

Yep. Strange thing is it is true for most people in life. Most are bound at some time to face something that flies in the face of their closely held beliefs.

For Dan, it must be worse as this is his religion versus his woke beliefs and his kids are on campuses.

I think they are in those states that love their guns and religion, so they are probably innoculated

He played dumb and said the radio broadcaster needed to be more specific about what events he was referring to.

Then they said that this was the last person who should be offended given that the team does the chomp.

Of course, Dan and Laurence both said the broadcaster was missing the point, etc. and being oblivious while pulling out their SJW card themselves.

To this point, he has said nothing on the topic, but has spent about 5 different topics now giving time to the NHL's bigotry. Shocking that this show, which takes on the serious issues, hasn't touched this one.

Which is weird, because when shows on The Score all magically turned into #Resist Radio a few years ago and people had the temerity to complain about politics in their sports talk, we were told that they were commenting on things "much bigger than sports", like it couldn't be helped. Now, though, beheaded Jewish infants aren't bigger than whether the Bears traded Chase Claypool because they're racist.

I get that quite a bit of what Dan is doing is a bit, but how many times has he gone off talking about how dangerous old white guys are because he thinks they are racists, yet when people are out there saying their goal is to kill every Jew and are actively killing unarmed Jewish citizens, he is hesitant to talk.

The SJW moment is about people conforming to a certain viewpoint at all cost, instead of being woke they are actually idiots that are either lack the intellectual capital to critically think through issues, or conform because they don't want to risk losing credibility with their imagined peer group.

We are seeing some of the Harvard kids who signed a letter because they despirately feel the need to be a part of an anti-Israel peer group. These kids are now despirately trying to backpedal and are asking for protection from Harvard, many of the younger kids already know the colleges and universities are a waste of time, the Harvard students are not proving them wrong.

yes, i heard his take on the pride tape. was only missing the soothing sounds of a typewriter - ala a 1975 walter jacobson perspective. he does takes on serious issues, from priests of apostolic churches to the pastors and flocks of modern day christian fundamentalists. they seem all bad. i know what is good, though. hebrew calligraphy.

They're already going all in on race war. Even took a shot at Fred Huebner out of nowhere.

Holmes and Bernstein say "it's over" for Fields due to the injury and early-season regression.

That must have come later, because I heard Holmes say you can't count the next few weeks against Fields in assessing him, i.e., it's going to take another year.

I think I heard them say that, too.

By the time I stopped listening, I couldn't actually figure out where they actually stood on Fields.

They were exhibiting Arkushian levels of equivocation.

They’re not sure about Fields after 28 games. But they are certain Bagent “is not the guy” after less than two quarters.

because no undrafted qb has ever been any good besides Kurt Warner, but he was very successful in the arena league.

If he turns out to be good, that would mean tom brady is the closest comparison, but at least brady was fucking drafted.

so, for bagent to be good, it would be a bigger story than tom brady.

I get that, but it’s also true that just because Fields WAS drafted in the first round, doesn’t mean he’s good.

My point was more about sample size than Bagent actually being good.

sure but i think we have already seen what he is. hes a quarterbacky guy, but doesnt have the arm to back it up. he almost got moore killed, and throws ducks sometimes.

granted, as a backup, hes good. fun to watch for sure. but we will get sick of him by years end.

fields will probably come back in a few weeks, and he might have a good game or two but will revert to running around looking for ghosts. we have seen this a fuckton from him. its what he is. even if he finds a guy, it takes like 3 seconds for him to wind up and pitch. thats just not sustainable in the nfl unless you are REALLY good at finding open lanes. which is he terrible at.

by years end, we will probably have two very high draft picks ready to go. fields will get traded for more good value picks and that will be the end of this shit story.

we all need to focus on tanking and watching the top college teams this year.

Agreed, had a great meeting of the "minds" last weekend with buddies who are Bears fans and we had the offseason, draft, and new HC hired after 2-3 beers. It is much more enjoyable to scout top players and watch as many SEC Network games as possible on Saturday than to scare your dog by yelling at the TV on Sunday.

Being that he is an undrafted free agent, I would understand why they wouldn't feel like Bagent would be a long-term answer. The odds would be heavily stacked against Bagent being a NFL QB much less a starting/productive one.

Some of these takes on Fields are really bad. Bernstein, who does nothing but speculate, has Fields out for about 3 games. Let's say that is true. That means Fields will have about 1/2 the season to return and play as the starting QB. If he plays well in the 2nd half of the season, that is still plenty of time for him to be the guy for next season. It would be different if Fields was out for the rest of the season and/or comes back and plays poorly.

Clearly, Fields needs to play well for an extended period of time, but Holmes was also pushing this thought that it's over for Fields in Chicago when we don't even know how long he'll miss.

It's weird. Holmes, in particular, is less likely to blame Fields for his play and point to coaching, other factors. Fields needs to be a difference maker, not a complementary piece. Way too many reasons why he can't consistently make plays in the passing game.

It's shocking that he hasn't said anything. When Trump was elected, he told his son they could be taken from his house. The worst slaughter since the Holocaust and he hasn't said anything on a show that has the two most self-important hosts who take on the serious issues. Not sure if there's some dynamic in play and he's so radical that he beliefves Israel shouldn't respond and are morally responsible, etc. with the current leadership , etc....

There is a lot of conflict within Bernstein. Bernstein himself hates Christians. Granted, he doesn’t think we should be slaughtered. I’ll give him that. But he thinks we’re the lessor breed. And like I’ve said, he also doesn’t like blacks but just fakes that woke part for his peer circle. He hates dumb whites that hate blacks. But thinks it’s fine if smart Jewish people, what he considers his kind, hate them.

So when it comes to muslins vs Jews Bernstein can’t say why the hate? Bernstein has hate for non Jews. Always has. It was clear before the woke movement. Now he can’t express it like he used to or he’ll be fired.
