6 playoff game wins in a row now for the Rangers. Streaky team like in the regular season. The problem for them will be if they lose a game. They'll probably end up losing the next 3.

Gamblers will be jumping all over Houston. Texas pitched in big moments and threw leather in big moments. That's not sustainable.

Isn't pitching and throwing leather in big moments pretty key for any team who wins the pennant/World Series?

Yes, and throwing Framber Valdez out on the mound is not a winning strategy.

No, that's baseball variance. Lot of variance last night. From 420 ft outs to a guy getting his feet mixed up to the best hitter going 0-4 with 3 Ks. I won't say it was a lucky win because Texas earned it, but I don't think you'll see another game like it in the series.

4-0 Rangers, and Astros haven't even grabbed a bat yet.

Usually other sports leagues nave their playoff games at night.

I take it back. Texas looks to have a horseshoe up their ass. Astros with bases loaded, 2Ks and a weak groundout. Every other manager would have yanked their starter

Tito Fuentes. One of the first baseball cards I had when he was with the Giants, played his last two seasons for Detroit and Oakland.

That was a really good Immaculate Grid for me. I put in the DET-ATL too quickly, got it with 3%. The rest were all good ones. The Cubs row was easy for a fan my age - all 1970s Cub backups.

Phillies - Rangers will be a great World Series if it works out that way.

Paul Bako is my Go-To Cubs/Dodgers. 0.1%

Mad Max hasn't pitched in a month, 2nd to last time he pitched back in September he went 3 innings and gave up 7 runs to this Astros team. Astros series price was +420 right after the game last night, down to +380. Astros plus money for game 3, which seems like gamblers really riding the Rangers streak.

I've rode Texas from the start in series bets. But it wouldn't surprise me if Houston won 4 straight. Rangers caught some huge breaks the first two games.

Houston +109 Wednesday.

John Smoltz's deep dive analysis of every pitch and next pitch strategy gets to be too much. He's actual toned it down somewhat too. Definitely a contrasting style from Ron Darling who's a better listen.

off-shores were offering +115 for Astros tomorrow, bounced back up to +120. Series price still stuck at +380, not sure what that's about. Series price should track the individual game line movements? to some extent

I thought Houston's starting pitching would be their achilles heel and knock them out eventually this post-season. But other than Framber shitting the bed out the gate in game 2, it's been slightly better than expected. Verlander scattering 2 runs over 6+ was a wasted opportunity for the Astros. You don't win many games when you score 0 runs, as Yogi Berra might've observed. I think the Astros bullpen + their experience in these situations should carry them to make it a series at least. But 2-0 hole is a lot to climb out of, far from impossible for an experienced post-season crew.

if game 5's an elimination game for the Astros we'll see Verlander on 4 days rest. If the Astros tie it up 2-2 going into Game 5, you give the old man the extra rest before pitching game 6 back at home. No idea who they would throw out in a Game 7. Possibly a quick pull, once-through-the-order starter and then turn it over to the bullpen. Long way to go to get that point tho.

Texas has lived and died on streaks this year. I have a gut feeling Houston only gets better with each AB. +380 is good value but I'm already in on the Rangers.. I'll go in on them again if they hold off with what I think will be the charging Astros.

I had Popovich at 0.09. Had the spy Moe Berg for Dodgers-Red Sox for 0.02 because I have read one of the biographies on him. I was surprised that Rico Carty got for Braves and Cubs, I didn't think it would be that high.

Today, Rick Wilkins is a possible answer for two different squares.

I was expecting both of these series to be good, but we have yet to have a competitive series all post season. If the Phillies keep hitting homeruns at their current clip, the World Series doesn't look to be competitive either.
