I'm with you on Flores.

I liked him the last time around, but I dont see them going with a defensive guy again. Unless it is a like big fish like Belichek, which I cannot see. But otherwise I think it will be a offensive guy

Harbaugh hasn't coached in the NFL in a decade or had significant success at Michigan. Every great young coach in the NFL are first time hires, you just have to luck into the right one that fits your roster.

He's 74–25 at Michigan

Gary Moeller and Lloyd Carr both had better winning %.

Dynamic Feedback. Did Gary Moeller or Lloyd Carr reach an NFL Superbowl with a mediocre quarterback?

Weird, I thought it was you that cited Harbaugh's record at Michigan as if it proved how great he is.

For the record, Lovie Smith, Ray Malavasi and Jim Fassel led teams with worse QBs to the SB.

Caller Bob liked the Cowboys hiring of Mike McCarthy, and wanted Sean Payton for the Bears.

Hence; viewtopic.php?f=181&t=130389

That would be a mistake. Nagy/Tresman were offensive hires and that didn't end well. I think you have to have a "leader of men" as a HC and can always hire a smart guy to run your offense if you're a defensive coach.

Flores is well respected by his peers and players. He would be this generations version of da coach.

I wanted the Bears to hire Harbaugh. Offensive mind. Tough guy and hard worker. Proven success record in developing young players. I was not against hiring Eber necessarily but i doubted Getz was the guy who could develop an offense around a young qb.

I think that the worse mistake that Poles made was in hiring Getz with Eberflus and it is Getz who is the main reason why the Bear's are hurting. The disaster that is the Bear's right now is a lot due to the failures of both Getz and the Defensive Coordinator. Frankly, I think that two good experienced coordinators would have this team at 3-3 right now.

No, Nas claimed he wasn't successful at Michigan, to which I countered. There are a variety of reasons I want Harbaugh. They key for you here, is reading. Top to bottom, left to right. Group words together as sentences. Let me know how it works out for you all.

I'm with you on Flores.

Glad to see people joining me on the Flores train, got dismissed out of hand when I brought up his name during the last go round.

This team needs an identity, and he would certainly give you one, but highly doubt that George and the "Leadership Committee", would have the guts to hire him, after all this is the same group that would not even interview Mike McDaniel, they apparently wanted a nice normal guy to coach the Bears.

Keep that group far away from the next hiring search, or have them be a part of the group and then instantly dismiss their top candidate and then fire all of them once you hire the next guy.

Have to hope that the new guy will take total ownership of this process and launch the people that have contributed mightily to this franchise becoming a joke, there really is no reason to keep anyone on if your trying to build a winning culture, the current group has given you a road map on how to build a losing culture and should be a case study for all pro sports franchises on how not to do things.

I am in agreement with you. I am not worried about hiring Offense or defense. But that just seems to be the trend.

Are you still an Eberflus guy? Getting tough to defend that 4-19 record as a Bears head coach. That's pretty tough to accomplish in the "Parity" NFL

I know this is a difficult concept for you to grasp Bob, but one can be a Fire Eberflus guy and at the same time still not want Coach Khaki's coming to the Bears.

The local media is working hard to create a buzz for him. That instinctively makes me want to avoid him. I suspect they're being used.

If true, the Wolverines would have violated NCAA Bylaw 11.6.1, which states: "Off-campus, in-person scouting of future opponents (in the same season) is prohibited."

Harbaugh's days at Michigan are numbered to less than 90.
