This is not the national league. Myers, Moyer and Blanton are going to get absolutely ripped by the Rays.

Rays in 6 with Hammels winning two games for the Phils.

Ahem, you were saying?

The R is like, right next to the Z. Typo. :P

I can admit when I am wrong, as I did with Soto.

Man these umpires have been bad this series.

A case in point was in Game 4 last night, where Andy Sonnanstine threw one to Evan Longoria on a grounder off the bat of Ryan Howard. Replays clearing showed that Longoria tagged Jimmy Rollins out in the first inning, but third base umpire Tim Welke clearly missed the call. It loaded the bases, and Pat Burrell walked Rollins in to give the Phillies an early 1-0 lead. FOX Sports kept showing the replay, and Tim McCarver thought that Sonnanstine should've thrown it to Iwamura at second instead of to Longoria at third...Joe Buck commented that the umps have missed some obvious calls, and the one in the bottom 1st was a case in point.

By the way, fans, you shouldn't be surprised by this. The lack of national sizzle & start time after 9p (CT) following a 91 minute rain delay added up to a record low TV rating for FOX Sports' national broadcast of Game 3 Saturday night, according to the Sun-Times' Chris DeLuca.

Man this is fuckin wild.

Suspended game. Tommorow in Philly rain all day with a low around 35 degrees. They may not restart this game until Wednesday.

I think it's another embarrassment for MLB "Commissioner" Allan H. Selig.  If baseball had a real "Commissioner", Game 5 would've been stopped a lot sooner! By the way, good luck trying to find the conclusion of this game on radio tonight, due to Bulls/Bucks' basketball on ESPN Radio...

Fans, it appears to be a "go" for the Rays & Phillies to resume Game 5 of the World Series tonight in Philadelphia. However, due to a 30 minute infomercial for Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama, the game won't restart until approximately 7:37p this eve. ESPN Radio's Dan "the Duke" Davis keeps insisting that when they do resume, a pinch hitter will likely hit for Phillies' starter Cole Hamels to "lead off" the 2-2 tie in the bottom 6th. Should Tampa come back to win tonight, Game 6 happens tomorrow night at Tropicana Field with a potential Game 7 on Halloween night this Friday. Should the Rays & Phillies go to a Game 7, good luck trying to find ESPN Radio's coverage locally due to the Bulls/Celtics' game. :(

Ok. I guess I'm one of the few here that still gets excited for a World Series.

Go Rays!!!!

I want to see more games and have them win it.

I feel like Mac's character in "One flew over". I've gotta get you nut jobs to raise your hand so we can watch it. It's the World Series.

This is really a joke. Starting a clinching game in the bottom of the 6th. Everytime you think Bud can't make a bigger fuck up, he finds a way to top himself.

Philles beating the rays surprised me, but the phils have a lot of players i like (rollins, howard, utley, hamels and lidge), this team could do it again next year if they go out and get a another solid starter.

I wonder if it was worth the wait for the Phillies, let alone Philadelphia's pro sports scene. Cole Hamels, despite getting a no decision tonight, was named the World Series MVP. It's hard not to argue with Cole getting named. I'm old enough to remember the last time Philadelphia tasted a championship, when Billy Cunningham coached Julius Erving, Moses Malone, Maurice Cheeks & the 76ers knocking off Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and the Lakers, circa 1983 to win the NBA Championship...

i'm sure it's a party, SHARK, but trust me, nowhere near as big as it would have been for the eagles to win it in feb '05.

I will remember the Series as Bud fucks up again. The terrible umpiring! So much for the outcome of the All-Star game means something. Charlie Manuel managed a World Series team anyone can!!!!!!!! :alien:

Safe to say Lidge will blow at least 3 or 5 saves next year.

I'm happy for the tough, passionate sports fans in Philadelphia who FINALLY have a World Championship of any kind since Julius Erving, Moses Malone & the Philadelphia 76ers surprised Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar & the L.A. Lakers in 1983. I wonder if MLB's poor excuse for a "Commissioner", Allan H. Selig, will be more remembered 25 years from now for messing up Game 5 of this World Series rather than the Phillies' triumph. ESPN Radio's Dave "Soup" Campbell made a valid point during last night's "pregame" show before they resumed Game 5. "Soup" said that they should've put the tarp on the field before they completed the top 6th when the infield got too muddy & wet to continue. When the Phillies' players, manager Charlie Manuel & management received their World Championship trophy on the field, the fans booed Selig, and another ESPNer in Joe Morgan wasn't thrilled in Philly fans' dissatisfaction and felt Selig actually did the right thing. He didn't agree with the fans booing Selig...
