soderblum did make some good saves, when able to keep ahold of his stick. the winning goal for florida was all about him not able to corral a shot he had in his chest and the puck fell for an easy tap in. i don't expect vosters/chelios to point that out and harp on it, but this GK won't win games on his own. hawks still lack quality on the roster and the GK will have many chances to win games on their own...and soderblum isn't doing it. top GKs hold that puck, no juicy rebounds on soft shots to your chest.

i did agree with vosters/chelios that jones played well (hit the iron again, maybe 3-4 shots this year so far), but he's still making bad decisions at the point. he passes when he should shoot and he shoots when he should have passed the puck. his assist was fortunate...cleared the puck and bedard worked his magic after picking up the puck that jones had cleared to center ice.

PP is still diabolically bad and some of the fault falls on jones at the point.

the 'enigmatic' flames and former hawk D zadorov has asked to be traded. earns less than murphy. if the hawks are sticking with jones on the #1 D pairing, i wouldn't mind a zadorov for murphy switch. when and IF the hawks become legit, murphy will be gone. can't see him on the 3rd pairing with his contract.
