He likely brings quality assistant coaches with him, not dudes that are spending so much time doing "inappropriate" things at work that they end up getting fired by HR.

Wonder what his take on Fields would be, he coached against him and likely has a strong opinion on him, they really need a new set of eyes at Halas Hall to evaluate the current roster, also wonder if he would insist on bringing in his own GM as part of the deal.

I'd rather have his older, smarter, more stable brother, but he's plenty good enough.

The Bears should be a 5-6 team right now and have the first and fourth overall pick. This will be the most attractive NFL opening in recent memory. It's all lining up for Harbaugh to come here, (unless McVeigh becomes available). But someone will have to override Poles to hire a big ticket coach.

Oh, I'm pretty sure McVeigh is going to be unavailable for a long time.

The McCaskeys do not like "egocentric" coaches and will not push for Harbaugh.

Multiple Score hosts have suggested that Warren and Harbaugh have an acrimonious relationship.

Poles would likely need to relinquish at least some of his power to lure Harbaugh to the Bears.

Given the above, it seems incredibly unlikely that Harbaugh will wind up in Chicago.

The Bears should easily be able to top this financially, plus they can offer him a QB(with top 2 pick), a young roster and tons of cap space.

It's not my money but I'm not giving Harbaugh more than $11 million a year.

The Vikings passed on Harbaugh for some reason. Michigan was literally begging Harbaugh to leave to the point they actually gave him a pretty big pay cut. His success has basically been beating OSU when Michigan hadn't beaten OSU recently. The rest of the Michigan schedule is filled with mostly bad or average teams.

3-4 against ranked teams not named OSU the last 3 years.

Also a 49-22-1 record in the NFL and taking the 49ers to the Superbowl with Colin Fields as his quarterback.

You wouldn't have to, the Bears owners would be doing that. They also most likely gave this current dope of a head coach 4 years, so what is one years difference?

He's 60+ years old, the game is different, and he wouldn't have the best DC in football.

Harbaugh was the first quarterback I backed, but I want to move away from the '80s Bears. Give me a younger offensive mind who is a leader. Preferably, someone under 50 that has experience working with quarterbacks.

He found Vic Fangio before Vic Fangio was Vic Fangio. I think he could assemble a pretty good staff, at least ones that don't get caught jerking off in the men's room.

I've always like Jim Harbaugh. His team haven't always had the best talent but still manages to win most of their games.

Chargers are rolling out the red carpet and , according to Jordan Schultz, Harbaugh and Kevin Warren " despise each other"

Doubt he wants anything to do with the Bears

Michigan only asking for a 1 season commitment not to play footsie with the NFL (starting now through 2024 college season) and Harbaugh still won't sign an insanely good deal for him? What a freaking diva. No wonder his older brother was worried about how it hurt Jimmy's feel-feels to lose in the Super Bowl to the older Harbaugh.

Your comment makes no sense, why should he sign that commitment now if he’s weighing his options to rejoin the NFL now? How does this prove he’s a ‘diva’?

Cuz he wants to do the NFL dance every year, can't even take a year off to sign an insane deal. If Michigan were saying "no NFL flirtations for the duration of the contract" that'd be one thing. And it's not even a year, it's more like a month or two. Basically no NFL Hamlet'ing for the next month or so (until all the NFL jobs are filled this off-season). Harbaugh would be able to resume his perpetual NFL dance again next December.

Wanting NFL franchises to suck your dick so bad that you can't even take a month off is the definition of diva.

1st of all, Michigan has made their own thoughts clear on his future several times over the past few seasons. Harbaugh has every right to consider options when it comes to this dance, Michigan would think nothing of launching him if he couldn’t consistently beat Ohio State.

2nd of all, he’s poised to get an insane deal wherever he chooses to go -including staying at Michigan. So signing some exclusive deal today makes zero sense.. especially if where he really wants to be is the NFL. After all, the same openings that are available this season will be different from what’s available next. He’s also not getting any younger. He’s most likely got 7-10 years of coaching left in him, so the timing of this decision id gather weighs big time here for multiple reasons.

It’s just good business on his end to hold that deal up, because there’s no way Michigan is pulling it off the table anyway. Especially if they beat Bama and go on to win a National title. He’s smart to be patient and see what real NFL offers he gets when the season is over.

I think Michigan would be just fine with him leaving. I'm not even sure either side has the $12.5 million deal available to actually sign. It just removes one potential distraction about his future at Michigan.

Sure, if Michigan gets beyond Alabama and wins the National Championship Harbaugh's likely getting whatever deal he wants from Michigan.

However, if for the 3rd season in a row Harbaugh gets rolled in the semi-finals...I dunno if Michigan's offering the same deal.

esp after Michigan ran the table with Harbaugh not on the sidelines. They prolly just promote Sherrone Moore to maintain continuity for the underclassmen and to save a few $$$'s.

It might be an extra bit of motivation for underclassmen in these upcoming game(s) if they knew Harbaugh were entirely focused on coaching those games and sticking around at least for one more season and not in his office taking calls to coach one of the Justins to a 9-8 record in the NFL next season. The players entering the draft this year likely don't give a shit one way or the other where Harbaugh coaches next season.

There is zero chance the McCaskey's hire Harbough...this debate is pointless.
