Remember, they aren't reporters anymore except when they have to get serious so they aren't into "breaking stories" as much as claiming they talked to sources and knew about a story that just became news. They will both say they talked to their sources within the team that the news is breaking on and say they knew about that, etc. Their other tactic is to double-down on a story that's being rumored to then "confirm" or add in some new detail that is so generic that it adds no value, but allows them to say their are looped into a story with their sources.

Do find the entire sideline reporter thing interesting.

You have two different approaches, a former player who may give you something because he actually knows what is happening, or the good old RSN (RIP) formula where you trot out attractive young ladies who give you absolutely nothing but look good holding a microphone.

Erin Andrews is the prototype, turned the sideline gig into all kinds of paper, but you also could end up working with Larry and Lil' Danny like Rahimi, so there is a bit of risk involved.

They both have the same position that the big takeaway with the Charissa Thompson story is that she is white (and privileged).

When speaking about the sideline reporting, they mentioned the former NBC reporter (Michele Tafoya) who since has moved onto being in right wing politics. Laurence called her the worst person alive, but they did agree her comments were right.

If this station were to hire a person on the right as open with their opinions as the rest of this show/station is, they would do a walkout, etc. there would be a revolt. There is no way they could co-exist with someone who has a different opinion than them on politics.

Crazy....these guys are very left, but also claim (especially Lawrence in the past) to want to understand all points of view. Now, if you disagree with them, your a racist etc.

I definitely rolled my eyes, thinking of the Pulitizers given out over the Russia Hoax.
