Easy to beg for it when you know there’s no way it will happen. The MLBPA was right to not allow stricter testing, but the result is nobody in that era can be assumed clean.

Yeah, it could have been grandstanding by a guilty man. We see politicians do it all the time.

I shouldn't be too hard on you; Nas is young-ish and KD is from the suburbs (he's not expected to know much).

If Frank was so adamant, he could have easily payed for his own test and released the results to the press.

Young Nas became a Sox fan around 1990 or 1991. That was primarily because of Big Hurt. I'm being objective. Southside Tommy isn't.

If my memory is correct I thought Frank did test on his own but then begged the rest of the team not to test because no test was considered a failed test. There was a set percentage that if it went above then more stringent testing kicked in. It was a long time ago so I could be wrong.

That’s what I referenced.

Once the Sox chickened out in 2003 on refusing to take the drug tests to trigger enhanced testing, Frank and everyone else became guilty.

They supposedly had enough people that wouldn’t take the tests but MLBPA told the Sox to take them.

Tony Gwynn has more college basketball assists than he does MLB strikeouts.
