No TD’s and 2 turnovers. Low bar to be happy about

Fields was dynamic early until Getsy cut his balls off with the relentless screen calls. If only he had an OC that’d maximize his talents.

Potentially knocks them out of moving ahead of arizona with arizona win. Oh well, hoping for Carolina #1 is the big goal.

Arizona can beat the Bears.. could go either way at least. Will be a shit show of a game imo

I know, but now bears have 2 game lead, so arizona win doesn’t make bears leap ahead of them. Arizona has tough schedule outside of bears. 4 wins could be tough for them.

Think he might have cut his hands off too. Fumbles must be coaches fault.

This is why there is a chance someone gives up a decent pick for him. There is probably at least one team who thinks it is the OC fault. With so many dog shit qbs in the NFL right now playing, he is trade able.

Arizona finishing ahead of the Bears would force them to take Harrison with their first pick. He wouldn't survive past the Cardinals.

Eddie Jackson needs to go. Move Gordon back there and draft another DB. Two games in a row where Jackson was on vacation on defense.

Still in Europe so the couldn't watch the game. First thing this AM watched the recap. Good Lord, what a shitfest. There's nothing here for the Bears to feel good about, but the team that really lost was the Vikings. My God, they couldn't beat the fucking Bears at home??

Back to the other thread....Detroit still the best team in the NFC North...but that's not saying a whole lot

Terrible game. And Fields still sucks.

Did he throw a pass longer than 5 yrds. yesterday?

Somewhere there has to be a field cult flow chart . If Fields holds the ball , its because no one was open. If Fields has receivers open , he has no time . Never is it, he missed a read or a throw .

I'm going to hold to the belief that we get a 2025 #1 and a day 2 2024 pick for him

I don't think the Bears get more than a second-round pick for him.

I really like Darnell Mooney. They asked him to be a plough horse yesterday and he took on the job with gusto. Fields almost got him killed on the plays he was the target. I'm not sure he would come back even if we offered him a contract, but I'd like him on the team.

Encouraged by the improving play of some of the young guys on D, Dexter and the DBs are looking like solid long time contributors.

Fields continues to be incredibly inconsistent, misses easy wide open guys, turns the ball over regularly, and continues to strangely hold the ball because he cannot read the defense. He is hesitant to run the ball, and cannot fathom open zones in zone coverage, so he twirls and pirouettes around like an ice dancer until something bad happens. Bagent likely puts up at least 6 more points in that game because he would stick with run calls and avoid turnovers.

Fields and Caleb Wiliams have nearly the exact same body language and reactions, piss poor leaders who pout when they make mistakes, will not win anything with them unless you surround them with veteran leaders.

you definitely saw yesterday why Sweat was drafted highly, traded highly and received a big contract. He is a complete defensive end who shows sophistication in how the position is supposed to be played.

Sweat has more sacks than Rashan "The Contract" Gary, yet Sweat has faced harsh cristism, while Pecker fans think they got the steal of the century with Gary even though he goes months without getting a sack.

Gary should close that gap against the chiefs while the bears are on a bye

Quick glance at tankathon, and teams remaining schedules, #4 seems like absolute best the Bears pick will end up. They are 2 games ahead of Arizona and New England, and both of those teams have relatively hard schedules left. Add in that you could make a realistic case for the Bears to win any of the games they have left. No, I don't think the Bears will finish the season on a 6 game win streak, but there's a win or 2 hiding in their last 5 games.

A lot of games left to sort things out, but right now, the difference between having the 4th pick and 15th pick is 1 win and tiebreakers....

Bears could drop out of the top 5 with their pick and conceivably win 2-3 more games.

What do you do? Harrison Jr. and JC Latham? Laiatu Latu? Local guy Jer'Zhan Newton? Trade down and take the best center?

Depends how they win. If those Ws come as a result of Fields (and not despite him), I think they’ll have a hard time moving on. In that scenario I think you’d have to trade out of the Panther pick with somebody desperate for a QB and focus on the lines again.

I don't think the Bears get more than a second-round pick for him.

Probably a conditional deal: 2025 1st if the acquiring team makes the playoffs, and a 2025 2nd and 4th if they don't. So that pick would be between 18 and 49, with the 4th as an add in if the higher pick is in the 40s.

He just needs guys who can get open. Not these bums like DJ Moore and the highly overpaid Kmet.

I am with you regarding focusing on the lines. Do you think Poles is still undecided on Fields?
