I know it won't last forever but it still feels strange to basically be the OSU of Big Ten basketball. Something like 9 out of the last 10 road losses we have had the other teams fans have stormed the court.

They need to figure out these turnovers. Bad shooting games can happen but no excuse to not be able to solve the vaunted Northwestern defense.

It seems that their guards have not really developed or gotten better from last year. That is a surprise to me. I thought Painter would have them ready to roll this year. And they very well may still roll. But if their guards are not better it is going to be tough. I thought Painters comments in the press conf were pretty telling. He called out the guards.

Braden Smith is great. He should be on the All Conference team for sure. He's much improved. Lance Jones was terrible yesterday but he's been great too for what his role is. Loyer hasn't improved as much as hoped but he still fills his role well.

Northwestern played lights out and it went to OT on the road. It's just how things go sometimes.

Smith is great offensively. He was really good in that game until late when turnovers were the story.

But he is not defensively.
