Should be good game! Get to see OJ Mayo.I've notice Rose likes to take the ball hard to the rim.......I see him getting fouled haard and knocked to his ass!

The Bulls shot only 36% from the field in the first half vs. a Grizzlies' team I couldn't name more than a few players and their head coach, Marc Iavaroni, who was rumored to be fired after one season. That never happened...

How is Rose looking tonight?

His stat line looks pretty good, but that is all I can see. . .

Derrick Rose was $$$$ in the bank, scoring 26 as the Bulls beat the Grizzlies 96-86 tonight. :D
Drew Gooden, hideous facial hair & all, corraled 20 rebounds in the win, despite only 38% field goal shooting for the Bulls in their second win of the young NBA season. Folks, Greg Oden's out with a foot injury, and I don't think he's a rookie even though the Portland TrailBlazers' big man missed all of last season with a knee injury. Besides, Michael Beasley had 25 tonight, but his Heat lost in Charlotte tonight. One of the ESPN "talking heads" has O.J. Mayo of the Grizzlies winning Rookie of the Year according to ESPN The Magazine's latest issue on newsstands now. That ESPNer? Ric Bucher...Are you kidding me? The Grizzlies are going to stink again this year, and head coach Marc Iavaroni's in a no-win situation down there in the land of Elvis Aaron Presley & Graceland!

This game was a true battle of ineptitude. Thomas, Sefolosha, and Noah have looked really bad the past couple games, and the rest of the team hasn't been much better.....except for Rose. He already appears to be the Bulls' best player, something I didn't expect to happen until the second half of the season.

Only saw a little of the game, but what I did see was defense and fast breaks. The combination of Rose and Tabo is OK. But Tabo is not good enough on the offensive end. I like gordon for his offense, but he sucks as a defender. So to me neither is the answer. We need someone who could spot up and play defense. Rose will make people come to him, leaving an open shot for the 2. We now need a spot up #2. I think I actually would prefer Kirk in this position.

Last but not least we have a terrible half court offense. Looks like the same crap we have been running the last few years. This kind of takes the ball and decision making out of Rose's hands. I don't like that.

I thought it would take longer than that.

That's because you are a man of FavreFanian optimism when it comes to assessing the merits of Luol "future perennial All-Star" Deng.

Thabo has been horrible defensively so far this season. He can't guard without fouling. As you say, he blows offensively--he is neither a good finisher off the dribble nor a good shooter.

I agree with what you're saying about the half court offense. Rose needs to have the ball in his hands a lot more than he has thus far.

Hopefully he can pass Ben Gordon as the best player on the team by the end of the year. :)

Before Rose is in the HOF maybe we can see his 3 pt shot and only 13 assists for a point guard after 9 in the 1st game he followed it up with 1 and 3! :)

I don't think you need to be a Hall of Famer to be the Bulls' best player. Deng has been their #1 guy for the past couple of years, and he is pretty limited offensively and defensively.

It was in reference to you and me being called out on Friday by Walt Williams neck that bench player Ben Gordon was the best player on the team. :)

Deng still is the best player on the team but it won't be for long.

You don't have to be a hall of famer to be better than Gordon. You simply have to find a way to be a starting guard for the Bulls.

Yeah, he's really surprising me how good he's playing already. Sure, there's been plenty of mistakes as well, but I wasn't expecting much at all this year, and he's already exceeding my expectations.
