I had North on for a short time yesterday morning (Quite honestly, I think I was taking a dump at the time. I imagine his face at the bottom of the toilet bowl and it makes for a very pleasurable experience.), and I swear I came in on the end of a conversation where he was saying he thought Jesus would have looked at porn magazines if they had them then? And that he was pretty sure Jesus must have had sex with Mary Magdalene and when she went, "Oh, God! "Oh, God!", he would have responded, "Yes, that's right." Did I hear this right or am I misrepresenting this?

While my religious beliefs, or lack thereof, don't really allow me to be personally offended by this, I'm just wondering how he gets away with stuff like this? Seems to me guys have been suspended or fired for less in these sensitive times.

Pappy makes comments to try and raise anger for ratings purposes. After once making a comment about nuns in hopes of the Archdiocese boycotting him, that no one cared enough to listen to his show, ergo no boycott would ever be called.

He is like a child in desperate need of attention. With no ratings bonanza due to the Bears over the winter, his ratings book in three weeks will reflect his dire need for attention. If someone actually listened, or cared about his show, he might actually face a consequence. Do you really think that M... oh forget it.

You hit it on the head. North tries to be Stern and says crap for effect. The difference being Stern is smart and could run circles around Pappy. Not to mention if Jesus was Horney he wouldn't need to look at porn he could just turn water into a hot broads instead of wine.

so basically North gave his own interpretation of the DaVinci Code....

i'm Catholic and so is North, so i guess he has the "right" to say that kind of stuff. it didn't bother me b/c it was North, if it was say.....i don't know......anyone else, i probably would have a different opinion.
it's a poor attempt at humor that he is able to get away with.
it's funny in a "Wah, Wah" kind of way.

Beardowns joke was actually funnier, though....

North could call the pope a "fucking nazi" and get away with it, since no listeners = no complaints.

Not that anyone cares, but for the record, Dallas Winston is A7X. For some reason when I try to log in I get an "error" page. I don't know what I did. I've PM'd and e-mailed bigfan, so hopefully the problem will be rectified soon. I'm looking forward to continuing my persuit of Nas' "most posts" record. :wink:

i know that DC is a work based in fiction.....but we don't know if it's entirely false, do we? that is what faith is all about.

but it can be argued North's statement is fiction as well.....yet that doesn't make it so either.

If Fritzy (the anti-semite) is let back on North's show, it's pretty obvious that ANYTHING can be said from 5:30-10ish in WSCR with little or no recourse against the "talent".

North could probably call Jesse Jackson the "N" word and have no disciplinary action taken against him.

Guys, I know we bust North and joke how he has zero listeners, but the problem is that he does have a lot of listeners. My question is why? I really do not get how anyone could like his sad excuse for a show. Furthermore, it embarrasses me to live in this area and say, yea we have this Mike North morning show that people actually listen to around here. It almost makes me want to puke when I'm walking downtown knowing there are Mike North faithfuls that are even within my vicinity. Gd this show makes me want to puke..actually i have to now...yuck

I heard it cooler. I thought this was going to be the first occurance of someone on that show standing up to Mike but Tranny fizzeled out.

Of course it was lost on Mike that he was arguing about having to park one space farther away from the elevator.
