Maye Day! Maye Day!

This also gives the Bears a shot at #2 if they lose out.

It's funny. This is the only Bears thread I like. This is a fun one. I don't read any others.

I don't see how a GM could trade away the opportunity to put his stamp on the team.

All of those teams who would be interested in the pick, would also have interest in Fields. I could make a case for many more teams but the definites who will want a QB

2. Pats
9. Saints
10. Bucs
18. Steelers
19. Falcons
21. Vikings

There are more teams than players available in the draft. Others who should be looking:

6. Jets
7. Giants
11. Raiders
13. Broncos
15. Seahawks

If Marvin Harrison goes back to school, the Bears only have one path.

No way he goes back. He won't improve his draft placement. He'll have a new QB. Day might be gone. They have yet another round of first round draft picks pushing for time at WR.

the total package of possible compensation doesn't work that way

The key to generational wealth is the second pro contract

Someone is allegedly offering him more NIL money for that one year.

Desperate people take short money. Getting to the second contract is the real money for a guy like him. Putting yourself in a position to get a third contract at a blockbuster signing bonus is also key.

He already has family money and a wealth advisor. They'll set him straight

All we will hear out of the Pats from now until draft day is how their evaluators like Maye.

The Bears should be balancing that by pumping up Williams to the world. Make that pick as valuable as possible

Why would they do that if they like Williams? Some people apparently believe he's a generational talent.

I suspect Williams would never be a Belichick gut. Zappe could play himself into consideration with a few more wins.

because they want to lower the price on Williams

Not a chance in the world that happens. Did you notice how tiny he was yesterday and his arm strength was poor. He's a good backup if he maxes out his talent.

There is no way they Pats are in the top 2 and not taking a QB. Maybe they will win a few more though

Nas’ love for Maye has led him to the point of suggesting the Pats may decide they’re better off with Bailey Zappe than Caleb Williams.

Why do you love Caleb Williams so much?

No, Nas is saying the Patriots may win a couple more games and that would eliminate them from the Maye and Williams sweepstakes.

I wouldn’t say I love him, I just think he’s the best college QB I’ve seen since Lawrence and doesn’t have obvious holes in his game.

The diva stuff is there and I think he regressed a bit from last year, but that SC team was trash.

I still don't think he understands the concept of the Bears owning the Panthers pick. Can someone make flashcards for him?

The pouting is fine for a route runner who's only job is to snatch balls out of the air. It is not fine for a QB. Besides, pouting is different than diva-icity. There was that one game, Oregon or Washington, he flat out quit. Wouldn't talk to the coach, I assuming he's wondering why the coach is calling a timeout because he just wants to get the hell out of there. I mean, if you're mad at your teammates because they're trash, no QB worth their salt would turn inwards on that situation.

Even if the Packers had the #1 they wouldn't get rid of love. He's going to suck btw.

Bear's will trade down with both of the first round picks and with their proceeds from the trade will draft Joe Alt OT from Penn State, Sanders, tight end from Texas, Barton, C Duke, Mason Smith DT,LSUand will also receive a #2 pick in 2025.
