Piling on the refs because kadarious toney is an idiot. Kind of fun watching mahomes sound like a complete jackass in his post-game press conference.

It's something that was called twice last year and the refs have fucked Mahomes almost as much as his receivers. As Reid mentioned, that play usually gets you a warning.

The referee even scoffed at that flawed notion.

Of course they did. They tried to justify the obvious DPI last week too.

Was called 11 times this year before today. Line up correctly.

What about the bullshit call on the Mahomes hit last week too if we are going to talk about bad calls.

I have pulled for the Chiefs over the last few years, but their act is growing old. Mahomes acted like a fucking baby. Grow up. Your team has benefited from some really questionable calls over your run. Sometimes you are going to lose.

Are you saying winners don't piss and moan? They do that and more, even cheat.

It's just a side of them we don't harp on.

Isn't it common practice for the WR to look over to the side judge to confirm that he is on sides?

KT should be very grateful to have teammates and coaches so bulletproof and committed to protecting him that they will say absurd things to distract everyone from the obvious cause of this problem. Blame the refs

Impressed Mahomes gives that much of a shit about a (mostly) meaningless (for the Chiefs) regular season game Image

Let Lamar and Tua have the 1 and 2 seeds. They both guaranteed to be 1-and-done come playoff time, leaving the Chiefs to host the AFC Championship game again.

Andy Reid said that usually gets you warning.

Only if you actually, you know, look toward him. Maybe the line judge should have tapped him on the shoulder.

No, if you are slightly offsides.

Phil and Jordan routinely worked the refs in public. It plays into that "us vs the world" crap too.

Kadarius Toney's entire career has been defined by being sloppy on technical precision. He probably lined up on several plays just in that game.

Anyway, the Bills still had plenty of time to score.

I wonder if Nagy was the one who invented the play Kelce made (no I don't, I just want the laughs at the thought it was his innovation). That one is going be pilfered by the league almost immediately

As a WR, checking your position with the ref is a rudimentary task taught at the earliest levels of youth football. It's hilarious to see the losers like Mahomes and Fat Andy bellyache about this.

Speaking to a pool reporter afterward, Cheffers was asked about Chiefs head coach Andy Reid saying that the Chiefs should have been warned if Toney was lining up offside. Cheffers said that if it had been close the Chiefs might have gotten a warning, but Toney was so far offside that it needed to be flagged.

“Yes, ultimately, if they looked for alignment advice, certainly we are going to give it to them,” Cheffers said. “But ultimately, they are responsible for wherever they line up. And, certainly, no warning is required, especially if they are lined up so far offsides where they’re actually blocking our view of the ball. So, we would give them some sort of a warning if it was anywhere close, but this particular one is beyond a warning.”

didn't the Chiefs miss out on a Super Bowl due to defensive off-sides? Andy Reid's no Bruce Arians

Same...throw in the Kelce/Swift circus and I'm moving firmly over to team Buffalo (who may not even make the playoffs).

If they're looking at the Side Judge they are way offsides...Side Judge and Field Judge are deep sideline officials working with the Back Judge in the deep center of the field. They should be asking the Down Judge (used to be Head Linesman but females now work that position so it's Down Judge) and Line Judge. I may have to go back and look though...if it was one of the female officials who made this call they may have felt that he should have know what he was doing wrong. Or maybe he did ask and she said, "Nothing..."
