At the very least he is turning into a league average QB, at best. He is not superstar material despite what 90 percent of the city thinks.

His trade value right now is the highest it's ever been. He's gotta go

I would ask for future draft capital from any team trading for Fields. Ask Atlanta for their 2025 first.

I've long said 25 first and a 24 second.

Most of the teams who will want him would project themselves into the back end of the first round anyway, so their 25 first won't seem like a big ask. We have to get back into the second round this year.

I doubt he'd net that much. Teams know he's got a slow trigger and the athleticism he uses to make up for failing to see and throw will eventually wane.

If he could net that the Bears wouldn't trade him to begin with

The uncalled late hits on Fields are starting to pop up again. It's time for someone on the OL to take matters into his own hands. Take an early personal foul if that happens next week, and you know it will with the Browns

Darnell Mooney's hands have become questionable this year. He's down to his lowest catch percentage of his career and it seems like a weekly event that he drops one. I counted four yesterday

You'd probably trade Tom Brady, too.

Fields' injury probability for this game has to be 80% or higher.

I think he's lost focus because of his usage. He's not publicly pouting like Claypool, but you know he's pissed.

I watched Hard Knocks with Tua—the ball is out of his hands in approximately two seconds.

At the game yesterday, it’s painfully obvious Fields can’t process what he is seeing quickly enough. On multiple occasions the crowd is yelling “throw it” while he’s patting the ball and running in circles. This results in holding calls and sacks.

But he can also bail himself out with a spectacular run (like when he was almost sacked for a safety but then got the first down). So it’s sort of a simple question—do you want a QB that is only effective if he runs for 50+ yards per game, or do you want a “thrower.”

Personally, I think the running QB will not win big games and can’t come back when behind. He’s also likely to get injured. I’d take a QB on a rookie deal and trade Fields.

I agree but I also don't think he would come back here next year if given a choice. He doesn't seem as fast (but he is getting open)

What???

He was wide open on three out routes yesterday and Fields sent him three uncatchable balls.

Watch the replays, you will see it for yourself.

Anybody looking for a first round pick for Fields will be disappointed. Would you trade a 1 for him?

If you can't get a 1, fuck it, keep him for a year. Draft QB whatever, it's a lottery ticket anyway, and let them compete.

It's a good idea in theory (hedge your QB Bets) but you can't keep Fields and then draft a QB with your first round pick. It would be an untenable situation in the locker room.

I don't know when people are going to sober up. The dude has a QBR that places him as the 21st.best for QBR out of 29 qualifying QBs. Josh Dobbs is ranked above him - a guy that was benched by two different teams and traded, all of which took place within two months. Noted flamethrower Gardner Minshew, a backup forced into a starting role, is also ahead of Fields. And even when you dive deep into the drivers of QBR the only metric keeping Fields head above water is rushing, which is the same as last year. He's at 1.6 points contributed over a replacement level QB - Minshew, Mayfield and Dobbs are higher. So I'm not sure what the hell is driving all this buzz about him still being looked at as a franchise QB. Stroud is better across the board in his first year and is ascending. If you can't beat out Dobbs and Minshew in your third year then you are what you are: T.rubisky 2.0 with a better rush game. To his credit, all Fields has done is prove he's slightly better than the Mac Jones and Zach Wilsons of the world so far this year. But please upgrade the position as soon as the final whistle blows this season.

He's clearly better than half the qb's out there. He will get that contract. But I don't think poles will want to give it to him.
