as I've written before, how many times have we retained a coach for another 1-2 years that we were ready to fire because of a dead cat bounce

Sweat absolutely trashed Riverboat Ron yesterday after the game. He's all in with Eberflus.

He did trash him and their entire locker room. Riveria is done as a coach.

If the Bears defense really has the potential it looks like they have, we'll have every potential prospect begging us for the job. I still don't think there's a reason to bring back Eberflus or Fields.

Yeah, there's seems to be an irrational feeling that the defense becomes bad because Eberflus gets fired. You offer him the DC, right, and he can make his decision, right, whether he feels, right, that it's disrespectful.

Herbert still doesn't look right.

Correct.

Tomlin (only 51) and McVay (age 37) both in trade rumors involving the Commanders job.

Bears extra 1st round pick for either coach?

If the Bears trade a first round pick for a head coach I am done being a fan.

I love McVay, but no.

Maybe go after that Colts pipeline again and bring in Frank Reich.

You can just wait for the Steelers to fire Tomlin if you want him

much better to spend 1st round picks on duds like Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky than use one for the most important job in the building? I guess.

wtf (Pro Bowl QB) ?

I would make an exception for Thibs and Wanny.

Thats it.

not enough picks? Tampa traded 2 firsts and 2 2nd round picks + cash for Gruden...and then won a Super Bowl.

Patriots traded 1st / 4th / 5th round picks for Belichick...and then won a Super Bowl or half-dozen.

On the discount side, Chiefs only had to part with a 4th rounder for Herm Edwards...and didn't win shit.

Aidan Hutchinson was shut down yesterday by Darnell Wright. He only has 6.5 sacks on the season. The way people talk about him, he's the next Nick Bosa, but I think he is far from it. Is Hutchinson the next overhyped, overrated DE from the Big 10 just like Rashan "The Contract" Gary?

As a big time MWM, and of course named Aidan, I'm sure he is firmly planted on Nas' radar.

He is. I saw him abuse Wright and Davis a few times. I think he got home once. Fields had great escapabilty yesterday.

Gary by the way has 24.5 sacks over his last 37 games, works for me.

If memory serves, he had a sack on one of those plays where fields wandered directly into him.

He had a sack on a play where Fields held the ball for 7 seconds.

Before the game yesterday, Ryan Poles said he believes the Bears are close to being an elite team. I don't think a team can be elite in today's game without getting the quarterback right.

Is Detroit an elite team? Many think so. Many want OC Ben "MWM" Johnson to be the Bears next head coach. He was outfoxed by Eberflus yesterday. Detroit is never going to win a Superbowl with Goff at QB.

I’m not even sure they’re the best team in the division.

My appetite for Johnson is waning.

Getting the quarterback right ushers in sustainable success instead of a pop up great season twice a decade.
