Games

Fields = 36 career games
Wilson = 33 career games

Fourth Quarter Stats

Fields = 137/240, 1,459 yards, 10 TD, 14 INT, 30 sacks
Wilson = 176/303, 2,111 yards, 9 TD, 9 INT, 39 sacks

Fourth Quarter, Score is +/- 7 Points

Fields = 48/82, 548 yards, 2 TD, 5 INT, 13 sacks
Wilson = 78/129, 892 yards, 5 TD, 2 INT, 18 sacks

Last 2 Minutes of the First or Second Half

Fields = 71/130, 735 yards, 6 TD, 10 INT, 24 sacks
Wilson = 98/166, 1,087 yards, 3 TD, 5 INT, 15 sacks

Those are pretty rough numbers for both guys. Neither are a QB you should want to move forward with. My hope is that the Bears just keep spinning this in a positive way and tell everyone that Fields is the QB they want for their future just to pump up his trade value. Hopefully Poles is much smarter than we are giving him credit for.

2022 and 2023 numbers do not count for either qb in that both qbs played for the worst teams in the nfl. Put Peyton Manning in front of the Jets or Bears last season and he wouldn't win 5 games for cripes sake.

Actually games from 2023 don't count either, specifically every game except the Denver and Washington games. All other games would be unfair to count since Getsy confused Fields by scheming open too many receivers.

Let's be honest, was 2022 a real year anyways? All those 2s, come on!!!

The only games Fields should be evaluated on are Washington and Denver. And anytime Lamar Jackson or Jalen Hurts has a good game that game should count for Fields. That's because of Chicago treated Fields right he would doubtlessly blossom into a better Jackson or Hurts.

“When you pass on talented quarterbacks to lean into a guy’s development, which the Bears did when they traded No. 1 last year, you have to be completely sure of that decision to do it a second time,” a different AFC general manager said via the report. “... Fields doesn’t get over the hump, you don’t want to be the guys that passed on both Stroud and Caleb Williams.”

None of the GMs mentioned a first-round pick in the package. They all mentioned second-round picks. In some cases, an additional third or fourth-round pick was thrown in the mix.

this guy thinks the Bear should roll with Fields for another season and go for three (3!) first round picks for trading the 1st overall...if you can get 3 first round picks off of a team...that's a haul.

impossible to say this far in advance which QB draft classes will be loaded and which will be duds. Early projections had 1 QB (from Texas A&M) going in the 1st round in 2025... gotta play the games and see who emerges.

2026, 'course, is the Arch Manning sweepstakes; but there's also the Tennessee guy (Nicholas Iamaleava? fix your name, dude), Jaden Rashada (now competing with Sam Leavitt who xfer'd from MSU to ASU), Malachi Nelson who followed QB whisperer Lincoln Riley from from Oklahoma to USC and across town at UCLA Detroit's own Dante Moore. Seen anywhere from 3 to 5 1st round QB's in 2026, with 3 or 4 mocked in the top 10 (but still way, way early).

tl;dr: stack 1st round 2026 draft picks if possible, even if you don't need a qb then, they're gonna be hella trade capital.

They’re probably low-balling to tamp down Poles’ expectations.

Think there’s any chance Virginia vetoes trading Fields, thinking he’s her only (slim) chance at winning before she croaks?

"If Trevor Lawrence was on the Bears, would the media and fans be on him the same way! Would they want to replace him with Caleb!!!"

Games

Fields = 36 career games
Lawrence = 47 career games

Yeah, there's an argument about 11 more games, but that speaks to his durability and making the playoffs.

Fourth Quarter Stats

Fields = 137/240, 1,459 yards, 10 TD, 14 INT, 30 sacks
Lawrence = 263/444, 2,666 yards, 14 TD, 11 INT, 27 sacks

Fourth Quarter, Score is +/- 7 Points

Fields = 48/82, 548 yards, 2 TD, 5 INT, 13 sacks
Lawrence = 101/183, 1,075 yards, 4 TD, 4 INT, 10 sacks

Last 2 Minutes of the First or Second Half

Fields = 71/130, 735 yards, 6 TD, 10 INT, 24 sacks
Lawrence = 165/281, 1,804 yards, 9 TD, 5 INT, 14 sacks

Lawrence has also proven he can throw a competent forward pass by going over 3500 yards his first few seasons while Fields has yet to even crack the 2500 yard mark.. not to mention the 12+ game win differential between the two of them.

There is no comparison between these two so far, Lawrence has at least proven he’s a good starting option at QB in the pro’s while there’s still so many questions about Fields.

Why do people consistently assert that Fields has a "likable" personality?

What evidence is there to suggest that he's anything but a nondescript automaton, a cipher, an empty vessel blessed with transcendent athleticism but little else?

I mean, he's not unlikeable, but his next endearing observation, witty quip, or charismatic monologue will be his first.

His personality is about as magnetic as a pile of warm American cheese on a paper plate.

Of course, those "GMs" weren't identified and maybe just maybe they had a reason for their "opinion" that Fields wasn't WORTH a first round pick? Maybe to influence Poles by undervaluing his true worth?

Gee Midge, to the innocent viewers reading your assessment of Fields for the first time, they might think that you have made a very deep study of Mr. Fields and concludes that he is not likeable, dumb, a robotic non human entity. Per chance are you a clinical scientist able to diagnose physiological or psychological disorders of human beings? Or....are you just another insulting schmuck on a message board?

Aside from his whining about the coaches trying to coach him to be an actual NFL QB? The sooner they dump his lazy whiny ass the better.

Mooney is only catching about 50% of the passes thrown to him. That’s his lowest % of his career

That’s the starting point of the discussion, what they want to pay. Get two or more teams bidding against each other and you’ll get a first out of ine

MANY of the balls thrown to Mooney aren't catchable. You watch enough games to recognize this. The Bears receiving coach pointed out the problem this week. Mooney gets open a lot and he doesn't get the ball or it's a bad pass. Mooney is a great teammate though.

Why are they picking on the balck receiver who's proven himself to be more than competent? Is it because Kmet catches balls on the oh so difficult white 5 yard routes?

My guy said the same. Why not ask Kmet to run 10+ yard routes? Because he's slow? Just asking questions.
