This should cement poles evaluation. Even if you think he has the pysical sklills he has no game wining drives

Minnesota and the Texans. I'm more troubled with him being unable to get 150 passing yards against the Browns 3rd string defense and Myles Garrett. The offense was responsible for 3 fucking points.

You called the fact that Fields would lead the offense to 8 3-and-outs and another loss?

Good job!

You must think that Fields sucks, too.

Watching the games, it seems like Fields big/best plays happen early in drives/early in games. Pulled the stats on Fields (with some Bangent thrown in in these numbers):

1st half: 12 / 95.7
2nd half: 29 / 73.4
4th: 32nd / 49.0

I'd have to login to pff to check if they have QB by where the team is in a drive/field position, but I gotta take a huge deuce rn.

Fields pretty much always fails in clear passing situations.

The third down conversion "failures" are just thinly veiled criticisms of Fields from the anti Fields crowd. A more accurate framing is Fields leveraged advanced QB intelligence to recognize that having the defense on the field would optimize the team's chances at winning. So like any QB who knows who to the ball to, he did his best to put his defense in position to win the game. Franchise QB stuff if you ask me

Fields 2nd 18 games TDs and rtg is much better than the first 18 games.

But, he only has 444 more passing yards in the 2nd 18 games.

The graphic on the TV broadcast omitted the yards.

Just turned on the Score to hear Herron blaming the loss on the great Browns defense and bad coaching. Also praised Fields for holding onto the ball securely, apparently forgetting that he fumbled.

You guys might want to check out the reaction from Herb Lawrence and Chris Rongey on X. Mind blowing that people are still making excuses.

Im not going to blame a guy dropping a Hail Mary while he was flat on his back that just happened to fall into his hands. Should he have caught it ? Probably but thats anything but a routine position to be in to be expected to make the catch . Its like the Browns receiver who caught the ball that went through Edwards arms. Thats a tough play and he would’ve been “ blamed” had he dropped it but thats a damn hard catch to make when the ball appears out of nowhere like that.

Bagent couldve had that exact same game and those useless fucks would be raking him over the coals for zero trips into the red zone and 3 points for the
day.

He’s stunk all year, not catching the Hail Mary is just the biggest mess up. “Fall into his hands” is the operative phrase there. Fat lineman can even catch them. He also couldn’t have been less interested in blocking when Fields got tripped short on 4th down. It’s nice his WR coach is sticking up for him, but it’s not all Field’s fault that he’s checked out this year.

He’s also been airmailed when wide open and thrown to, and been wide open and not thrown to because his qb sucks .

He's being a good teammate. He had plenty of experience in Carolina playing with bad quarterbacks

Yeah he was comparing Purdy against the Browns and Fields against the Browns. Cool. Now let’s compare those two on their entire 2023 body of work. Any questions?

Purdy was also playing with his 3rd string offense against a healthy Browns defense. He also set them up for a 41 yard game winning FG that was missed.

I dunno, no matter how much the league tries, doesn't seem like this Trevor Lawrence thing is gonna happen.

I saw what Burrow did to him and I didn't need to see anything else. He was scared to death. I don't think you can win big with him.
