We'll see. It's worth noting that so far I have been right about him and you have been wrong.

I predicted before season started that Love would be average like he has been and get a big offseason contract.

And that was wrong, Love has been above average by almost any criteria.

It's partially because others have gotten injured.

He's been worse than Baker Mayfield. He has been worse per game than Kirk Cousins and Joe Burrow.

What do you think the gap is between Evans/Godwin, Jefferson/Addison, Chase/Higgins, and Reed/Doubs?

Sounds like your GM is not doing a good job if he has the great Jordan Love and surrounded him with nothing else and he's only 1 game ahead of a Bears franchise actively tanking.

Sad isn’t it? You see all the Fields’ apologizing in this place. Nas and I did it for Mitch…..

Mitch, Fields, and Love aren't comparable. Love is good, Mitch and Fields suck.

And thus your delusion on how good he is.

The Packers and Bears are comparable in that both have gotten much better than earlier this season.

It's not delusion though. Like I said, he's been above average by almost any criteria you can find, and unlike Purdy, Tua, Hurts, Baker, etc he is not being propped up by a pair of Pro Bowl/All Pro caliber WRs.

The delusional part is pretending he's been bad or average when that doesn't match up with reality.

It was clearly a rebuilding year for Green Bay. It looks like we have some young guys to build around Love with now moving forward. Future looks bright. Bears aren't actively tanking either, that's an odd thing to claim about a team that is 3-2 in their last five games.

I said he is top half but not in the top ten. I looked over that ESPN rating, and he is 13. Sounds about right.

It's funny how as soon as Green Bay looks to have missed the playoffs it becomes a rebuilding year.

They are still in the playoff race. It was always a rebuilding year though, anyone paying attention knew that.

It is obvious all the other teams in the racist NFL are not positioning Fields for success.

Saw a clip of Fields being interviewed by WGN and it really sounds like he is coming to terms with the fact that he will probably be somewhere else next year.

this aspect of Fields mental makeup probably what makes the game not worth the candle w/r/t Fields future with the Bears.

Even if you get Fields to start throwing with anticipation--count one mississippi, two mississippi and release to a spot (like you see Brock Purdy do on the regular with confidence) and trust your receiver to be there and get Alex Smith/Kellen Moore/Brian Griese to do film study all off-season with Fields to teach him to read defenses properly pre-snap...you do all that and odds are Fields still gonna spit the bit at the end of games when it matters most.

I think Fields should be happy about that. Even if it sucks to leave town tagged a failure, I doubt any team's going to trade for Fields without a plan to utilize Fields in a way that gives him max chance to succeed. Dunno if anyone can make him better at the end of games but prolly you can design an offense that generates more W's with Fields than the Bears have been able to to date.

He's the Zach Lavine of the NFL. He knows what he is supposed to do. He knows what the plays are. He knows the timings. Then as soon as he gets the ball it all goes out the window and he iso's his way through the play.

Here's a fun little game, which QB are you/MANY others taking?

QB A: 61.4 CMP%, 245 Total Y/G, 10.9 Y/C, 14-8 TD-INT, 85.6 Rate, 42.6 QBR

QB B: 63.2 CMP%, 221 Total Y/G, 9.6 Y/C, 17-10 TD-INT, 83.0 Rate, 41.5 QBR

So do you want QB A (2023 Justin Fields) or B (2019 Mitch) under center?

We ran (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky out of town after that season.

they both clearly got misused. if we had any coach with half a brain they would actually tell these qb's to throw better. just look at the steelers and how mitch has blossomed there. dude is a top 3 qb in the league and it has everything to do with the coach.

Let's face it. Justin Fields is the Tremaine Edmunds of the Bears offense. All the gifts to be a perennial all-pro player, but no idea how to play the game. These are "win with", not "win because of" players.
I can live with that from my linebacker, not my "franchise" quarterback.

If Justin Fields were the Tremaine Edmunds of the offense, he would possibly be on his way to a pro bowl. Edmunds is having a great season. TJ Edwards is having an even better one. I think this is the best LBer group since Colvin, Briggs, and Urlacher.

Easily the best linebacker on this team.

Tremaine Edmunds went to the Pro Bowl in back to back seasons with worse numbers than he's produced in 12 games this season.

I agree. We got him for 1/3 of the price it would have taken to keep Roquan. Easily the best free agent signing.

You're right. I guess I was thinking of Warrick Holdman.

Edmunds started playing a lot better after game 6 or so. He took it up another level after Sweat was added to the roster. That said, Edwards is definitely the best of the Bears' linebackers.

Hub referred to people who blame Getsy for all of Fields poor passing development as "crazy". Bernstein and Larry have had a bad week from their fellow Score guys.

I don't know what's so hard for Hub to understand. Fields beautiful throw to Moore was all Fields. Fields numerous non throws to open receivers is all on Getsy. Simple.
