Many changes I'm hearing.

A lot of people that have been here for a long time may not have jobs. Most won't make the news, but a significant number of displacements unlike Halas hall has seen in quite some time.

Tanesha Wade has been promoted twice since serving on the search committee that hired Ryan Poles and advocating for his hire.

She has moved from director of special events to senior vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion in less than two years.

On the other hand, "Soup" Campbell--who also served on the GM search committee but advocated for hiring a candidate other than Poles--was fired by Poles while he was on vacation a few months after Poles was hired.

If she is religious she is (not surprisingly) keeping any such affiliations off her LinkedIn page. https://www.linkedin.com/in/taneshawade/

Why does a professional football team need a VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?

Mama Bear pays attention to who hits the Chapel in the mornings. Kudos to Tanesha if she does that.

I don't even know who he is. I know A Soup Campbell. A grizzled old baseball lifer.

They fire everyone and hire Jim Harbaugh after Michigan wins it all.

They will have to bring in smarter people to run the new stadium, have often heard the McKaskey created culture that permeates the organization leaves tens of millions of dollars of potential local revenue on the table every year.

It all starts with the terrible stadium/stadium deal that the family has mishandled for decades, cannot see the current group of McKaskey kin folk doing any better, you have to bring in experienced people to bring new perspectives and ideas to the table. This rarely goes well in family run mom and pop shops like the Bears as the yes men/women the family members have hand-picked to fill jobs bristle under potentially having their workload increased significantly and/or being held accountable for producing desired outcomes.

Here’s the reason everyone should be gone, from Fields to Poles: CJ Stroud.

The Bears and Texans were both 3-14 last year. A year later, the Texans have a division title and MVP candidate while the Bears are looking at another last place finish with a QB who has not improved.

I posted a similar thought a few weeks back.

We need a Texans thread.

The NFL is a unique place where the grandkids of football people are allowed to make football and business decisions despite now knowing anything about business or football.

In most other mom and pop industries they grandkids either sell the business or hire someone competent to run things while they are off living in luxury from the money produced by the competent people they have hired to run the day-to-day operations.

Sorry, not on board with trashing mom and pop organizations. McKinsey types have ruined enough of America. Go be a Cowboys fan and take an elevator up 20 stories to your seat and watch the game on the block long video board, in between commercials.

I understand your perspective. I actually think Poles has done enough to be retained as GM. Several of his draft picks appear to be good, his free agent signings have mostly been good, and the team is well positioned to add impact players in the 2024 draft and free agency.

IF we hit on the QB, this could end up being a Herschel Walker like trade. This is probably why Kevin Warren wants to pretend he's the most important person in the room.

Yeah, he's annoyed the hell out of me. Reading his comments about the stadium, they scream a deal isn't close. He's just trying to project confidence.
