Vrabel will get another HC job. TN GM Ran Carthon's first season and he took this as an opportunity to put in his own guy.

New England is a mess, but I'd trust them to dig themselves out of it before I'd trust Atlanta, Vegas, or any of the other teams with Head Coaching vacancies.

New England also needs to hire a general manager; even if Belichick stays as coach it's pretty much understood he'll have to give up GM duties. I don't think the Patriots have ever had a GM under Kraft. Unlike jerking off, he usually did that himself.

Maybe he can replace Belichick, who replaced him.

So they wanted him out, but he gets to stay on payroll as "an advisor". What a life!

Pete...your 72 years old. Find a hobby.

Ahh, the old "let's hire whoever orders coffee for the GM of a Superbowl contending team" move. Makes sense.

If they're doing their jobs correctly, they also got a feel for where the Bears are leaning and how they run their operation.

I would just hire the best candidate, it's super simple.

It's a copycat league. You have to hire someone affiliated with a successful organization.

Hard to criticize the hire....clearly been around successful organizations. I mean, they could always just hire Ernie Acorsi to select a GM for them....that's proven to be real effective
