I doubt Score producers are making $75k.

Does drinky still have his "Sunday Dinners by Matt" gig? If so, mark him down for the $1 million + category.

His new special is banging your wife for free, if you book 2 Sundays consecutively.

I get a sneaking suspicion Big Cat doesn't make as much as people think. He probably has a bit of an ownership interest

I think the Dannys make in the 300s.

I think Mully's salary would surprise you. He's held down that cornerstone position at the station for over a decade and I seem to recall they had the best ratings at the station. He is probably a 300K person.

Sir
radio- 300K
professor- 150K
TV- 100K
real estate holdings- 500K

He'd make a lot more if he'd stop pulling himself out of the running for all the plum jobs.

I love this board!!! I do think Big Cat easily makes over a few million + ownership. A Howard Stern Analogy

Howard- Portnoy
Big Cat - Robin, a little more
PFT - Jackie/Arite a little more

Everyone else - 100K 1 year salary or less

The assumptions of salary for local broadcast media has been waaaay overblown on this web site for many years

First off, are you talking salary or salary with benefits (kinda big difference)

2nd...in this day and age of the current media environment...non-above the line individuals are simply churned for cheaper younger individuals...their talent is not important, nor valued

Above the line people (Executives, On Air Talent) while certainly commanding more money, have seen their income dwindling tremendously over the last decade

I'd say the on air talent estimates on here do reflect the downward trend. I'm guessing prime Bernsie was making 2-3x what he is today.

I think about that too. He did national, filling in for Dan Patrick, and I thought that would be his ticket to the big leagues. The guy is certainly talented enough. I would bet any significant offer would require him to move, but he likes Chicago.

I don't know why he's riding down a sinking ship though. If he's only making a couple hundred grand a year, wouldn't that be easy for him to make on a podcast? He would be great doing his own gig, as long as he has a decent partner. Holmes sucks, lia is ok but too filtered. But there's plenty of guys that suit him. That's what makes me think he's still getting paid half a mil a year... Why else would he be there?

The whole 2012-2016 era of the board was dedicated to definitively proving that he wasn't.

A 50% cut from his last contract would be a half mil. Sounds about right. Going out on his own would require a big investment. He's not going to do that and you can't make half a mil from your couch doing sports. You need kick ass production and kick ass guests.

How many podcasters out there are actually netting $250K? I could be way off but I'd say less than the top 1%. Dan would have some audience who would follow but it isn't enormous. The advertisers on his show aren't all that impressive, even with the backing of audacy's infrastructure.

He's taking no risks with two kids in college. It's easy work for a nice salary. by the time they are finished, he'll be late 50s, coming close to collecting a fat inheritance and easing into retirement. I could see him pursuing an interest but I don't think he enjoys the work so much that you will see him doing it in 10 years.

That's a good assessment Zippy.

2x more at least, for sure.

North was making 1.75 million per year at his height and then he turned down 800K. Bee Bee was his advisor on that one.

The day Terry's ISDN line went down in like 2010 because of thunderstorms, and Bernstein was inundated with the stupidest phone calls imaginable.

It was his dream from when he was a little boy.

A dream he had never once mentioned until he was fired to pursue it.

Now he wakes up at 3am re-Tweeting every right-wing conspiracy he's ever seen.

He could have gone the Greenberg route but it was too much fun aggrandizing himself as a shock jock with halfwit Terry Boers.
