Why would/should the Bears give a shit who the Redskin Commander Football Team hire as its OC?

It's Lebron sweepstakes time all over again.

This is like Miami acquiring Lebron's best friend from high school to be the beer vendor while simultaneously recruiting james to be part of the Heat. People are going to read motive into the hire.

I wouldn't want that fraud near my team, but getting the opportunity to coach Drake Maye is better than whatever the Raiders are likely to end up with.

Adams must have been very convincing. I guess we can cross them off the list as a destination for Fields.

Several of the second tier QB prospects looked terrible at the Senior Bowl, so maybe you can flip Fields for a 2nd, but it will have to be an early second to get one of the top centers, the Power-Johnson kid is skyrocketing up the boards almost as fast as Bo Nix is falling.

I prefer addressing the center position in free agency. I see no reason to invest a 2nd on a center when you have a rookie quarterback.

Caught the defensive roster breakdown yesterday, a ton of in town bias, but the ex-scout dude was honest and said a lot of the same things I said early in the year about certain guys on the roster, he actually said that Eddie Jackson's tackling efforts were, "embarrassing at times", and he made a lot of "business decisions", of course Hoge and Jahns had guys way overvalued, but that's the way the local Bears "experts" roll.

Thought the same, but Connor Williams hurt his knee and will be out for the start of the year, Andre James will be there, but your gonna have to pay a premium, you're taking one at some point in the draft, you are zero guys that are NFL starter level on the roster at the position right now.

I didn't realize Connor had torn his knee. I think the Bears will go after a James. From what I can gather, Caleb isn't football dumb, but he's never been under center, and expecting 2 rookies to call out protections can be disastrous. You think they'll go get one in the draft? Who would be your top 3 targets?

I'd trade down, acquire more picks.. keep Fields for 1 more year.. draft Penix, open competition. We can draft another QB top 5 next year with those picks

Maybe because it’s not out of the realm of possibility that maybe WashCom is far more sold on Williams than the Bears, and perhaps WashCom would offer a nice return on the #1 pick while the Bears could go after the guy they really want?

Next year looks like a Kenny Pickett draft unless you think Ewers and Sanders will be great NFL plight.

This team is going nowhere with a guy who can't read the field and let the ball go. Hard pass on keeping Fields.

Well there were several occasions where you had receivers streaking down the field open. They ended up as sacks because Getsy and football infrastructure.

Jackson Powers-Johnson (Oregon) is the guy I like. He’s huge (but very athletic) for a center too -dude weighed in around 330 at the senior bowl.

Cedrick Van-Pran (Georgia) and Zach Frazier (West Virginia) are highly projected too.

Kid from Oregon might go at the end of the 1st tho. But if I’m the Bears I’m drafting one of these kids. Free agency isn’t very deep at this position and I’d rather go young anyway and let them grow together. Build thru the draft as much as possible.

Van-Pran has been the dude I have been watching, fits in a zone scheme, he seems to be slipping a bit, so could be there in the third round along with Frazier, Powers-Johnson is the guy that is climbing the boards, highly doubt they get him unless they pick up extra picks, you also have some late round guys with size and/or movement ability, the Arkansas kid Limmer should still be there in the 5th round, think they sign a vet and draft one, a fourth or fifth round pick is an upgrade over Patrick.

It will be interesting to see where they spend FA paper, Johnson will not be cheap, you get some relief when you release Whitehair and Eddie Jackson, but you have to find a pass rusher, a veteran FS that can QB your defense and lead your talented young secondary, a veteran C, and upgrade your WR and TE rooms. Not sure you want to throw paper at Chris Jones and Ravens are supposedly franchising Madubuike, so you have to hope they can coach up Dexter to fill the crucial three tech spot.

Yeah I think addressing Center in the draft makes the most sense. Dude from the Dolphins is coming off a serious knee injury and after that the pickings are slim.

As for pass rusher I know they like Burns and thats who I hope they target. He could get tagged tho. They could also target pass rusher in the draft at #9 where I like Verse (and theres a few others). So at least theres options there. On the flip side, that means they'll have to stretch to grab another WR.. they could still go that route in FA depending on who actually hits the market. Higgins might be out there, Evans too. My issue with guys like Evans is age -good player, but hes getting old and this team should be attempting to build young so they have a consistent window. Higgins would be great but the Bengals could tag him (I believe).

Lloyd Cushenberry from the Broncos should be their center target. Young, zone experience and had a breakthrough year. I don't want to leave that position up to someone learning on the job with a rookie QB.

Power-Johnson didn't even play center until this year. Guys I loved in last year's draft showed promise but had objectively bad years. We can't have a development year at C.

I am pretty happy Arthur Smith ended up with the Steelers. It is a good get for them but it also now becomes an even better fit for Justin Fields. I also don't think #20 is that shocking of an asking price.

I considered this too. I think that Steelers defense will be BAD next year and their offensive line is currently worst than the Bears. I also don't think Fields can handle Pittsburgh. Their biological women understand football. There will be no cult.

Tomlin doesn’t strike me as the type to suffer a QB who can’t stop giving the ball to the other team.

Redskins signing Cousins and swapping 1st round picks with Vikings + Justin Jefferson and a 4th round pick going back to DC.

or they'll tank for Cooper Flagg and implement a pick-and-roll offense. How many GM's does the Washington Football Club have anyhow.

At least they're down to 1 OC:
