Marc emery and Ryan pace are both working for Atlanta now. Sending fields down there is inevitable.

I agree. He can't get this wrong. He has done a helluva job imo in rebuilding the team, but he can't screw this up.

If there isn't a Fuckin' Haul, the decision is easy.

This Super Bowl is a good test of the Fuckin Haul theory.

It’s an extreme example of great QB/ok roster v. great roster/ok QB. I know which I’d rather have irrespective of the outcome, but I’ll acknowledge the haul people may have a point if SF wins by 30.

Even if SF wins by 30 you still have to account for Mahomes making the championship game six times in a row or whatever with 4 wins.

AND that it would be highly unlikely for any GM to hit on each one of the draft picks in said haul. The haul would make more sense if you were getting cost controlled Moore's instead of lottery tickets that aren't likely to return a comparable quarterback.

If SF called up KC and offered Deebo, Kittle, Bosa and Warner for Mahomes, does KC say yes?

If you included Purdy, I'm fairly confident the answer would still be no. A Burrow and Chase deal is pretty much the only way I can see Mahomes leaving.

Add in Trent Williams and CMC and the answer would still be no.

It is a risk, depending on the offer for the #1. You do in fact lose a lot(possibly) if he's a bust, or even just middle of the road.

Yep. There will be a number of great players in this draft. As there are in most drafts. If you pass on them all and draft a guy that happens to be a bust, very few are going to forgive you for it. There is always a possibly that you trade down and draft extra players that happen to stink too. And if Williams turns out to be great, then no one will forgive you for that either.

To me trading the pick is the obvious choice to make. Its not even close either.

If it's not close does this mean you think Fields will have a FAR SUPERIOR career than Caleb Williams?

The reason why i believed that it wasn't even close was clearly stated.

It really wasn't.

Does Williams upgrade the Bears QB position?

Never going to happen unless Purdy has the game of his life (AKA Eli Manning) and gets extremely lucky breaks (AKA Helmet Catch) Great QB's win 9 out of 10 times over great rosters.

Want to get lucky and maybe win 1 Superbowl then build a great team. Want to build a franchise then draft a H.O.F. QB. The salary cap, coaches and injuries limit the window of great teams. A H.O.F QB will get you to the playoffs every year if he is healthy.

Yes it was. You're just trying to "steer" the conversation where YOU believe that the conversation should go. By way of inane "questioning" as usual. The reason that you trade the pick is so that you can acquire players at "need" positions. I don't believe that the Bears QB spot is a "need" position. I also don't believe that Williams will be all that good. And yes I do think that Justin Fields is the better player. That is why it isn't a tough decision to trade the pick.

Eli has 3 tds and 1 interception in 2 games in the SB. It's not like he played great.

I believe Washington has more cap space than the Bears. Look at them after free agency and tell me if you believe they'll be a bottom 10 team next season. The haul will possibly be late first round picks.

Today I heard Steve Young essentially say all Sam Howell needs is the right system.
Does his QB evaluation carry more weight than Keyshawn Johnson's

I didn't think Howell was bad. I wouldn't be shocked if they went with MHJ or Alt.
