If I win, you have to go on a date with me. If you lose, I have to take you on a date.

Throw up the Kyrie Avatar and you got action on the Fields bet. It's a solid straightforward bet.

It can be a Kyrie avatar of your choosing

As promised, avatar changed for a month. It's Kyrie crying once he realized he's not winning anything without LeBron, like I said.

On Fields, the condition is as follows:

Fields is healthy for a minimum of 13 games during the 2024 season, even if he doesn't start all of those 13 games.

If he's benched during any of those games for performance, even if starts the next game or games later in the season, I win the bet. If he is never benched for performance during any of those games, you win. Avatar and sig.

You never said anything originally about him having to remain healthy for 13 games.

The whole idea is if he plays the first game of the season and then gets a season ending injury in game 1 because he takes his customary three sacks during that game then you win the bet because he never got benched for performance. 13 is games long enough for him to either succeed as a starter or fail.

LTG backing down faster than the mayor does to CTU.

This is silly. I'm not betting on the guy not to be injured and your original wager said nothing about him being injured. If it's a bet that he won't get benched then I'm in. If it isn't then forget it.

I prefer to bet cash not avatars/sigs. If you got any lying around then feel free to put it up "bigshooter". I doubt that you will "take that action" however.

DJ Moore sounds like he sees the writing on the wall:

“I advocated for [Fields] and to see it come through would be amazing, but if it doesn’t, I’ll still be happy,” Moore, who is at the Super Bowl to promote Mountain Dew, told the Sun-Times on Thursday. “I don’t get paid to make that decision. I just go out there and make as many plays as I can for the quarterback that’s back there."

So much for loyalty. Someone must have shown him video of C-Will.

It bothers me that he doesn't watch football or workout in the offseason. I'm not sure how well those habits will age. Especially when it's time to extend him.

There's probably a guy or two at media row that can prove to Moore that his numbers would have been even better if his QB let go of the ball more often.

“The NFL is unfair — that’s just what it is,” tight end Cole Kmet said. “If they can find a better, cheaper option at any position, they’re gonna do that. That’s what they’ve gotta evaluate, if whoever they’re gonna take at No. 1 is better or not. That’s what this business is.”

Orvlosky says it's important that Williams is actually 6'1" because midgets don't do well in the league. And he says Kurt Warner backs him up on this point.

I doubt a few eighths of an inch will make a huge difference, but not being 6'4" goes in the negative column.

If Orvlosky was a shoe size smaller or two he may not have stepped out of the end zone.

people rag on Kyler Murray a lot for a really good player who's presence impacts games

and Baker Mayfield, yes, his problem is height. There is nothing else about him that might have lead to inconsistent play.

Don't tell me that height is the issue. Tell me why height is the issue (which, by the way, 6'1" is within the range of average)

Maybe you guys should watch the video. There's context to "he's a midget."

He’ll probably measure out somewhere around Tua’s size, maybe slightly taller.

That height with Williams’ athleticism & arm will be fine. Tua has no problem playing in structure, or whatever Orlovsky was babbling about.

Not really. I saw that video when I was driving the Maye train and didn't think it was convincing.

Things like height and hand size are minor red flags that should show up in the footnotes of a scouting report. Anyone that passes up great talent for height alone is a fool.

I think his hands are a 10 based on the way he holds the ball.

On ESPN this morning, it sounded like Orlovsky thinks that Maye may be a better prospect than Williams, although he added that the problem with Maye is that his mechanics are very "raw".

Sounds like Orlovsky is a size queen.

He’s less concerned about a guy with “raw” mechanics - something that makes no sense for a 21 year old - than he is about a fraction of an inch in height difference.

including Williams in any discussion about height is irrelevant to his performance. He is on the low end of average. He's not anomalous

I think his beef is with athletic quarterbacks or the balcks.

This is why we don't let women discuss sports. This biological woman has the Bears staying at #1, passing on a QB AND MHJ and taking Joe Alt.

Frelund had a good gambling/analytics podcast with the San Diego Chargers play-by-play guy Matt "Money" Something for two or three seasons. After she got more of on-air role at NFL Network etc she stopped doing the pod. When she was doing it she'd run her model on presumably NFL front offices or NFL Networks hardware 1000's of times each week and share the results. Her spread picks weren't very good; usually she'd be within 1 to 3 points of the final total for the game and get the side right most every game. If she didn't she get confused and upset at her model.

She did Northwestern's graduate finance/analytics program. iirc, her dad's like a rocket scientist from Michigan named "MacGyver"; which if you're a scientist named MacGyver, you gotta bring it every day.
