Said he unfollowed the Bears and the NFL because he wants to take a break and doesn't want football in his feed. Also said he wants to know if he's staying or going.

I think the above is totally sensible, I even feel a bit bad. Didn't give too much thought to how Fields himself experiences all the back and forth on social media about him as a 24 year old.

Why are people saying Justin's excuse for unfollowing the Bears makes perfect sense? The Bears and the NFL accounts aren't @ing him about keeping Fields or drafting C-Will. He will still be able to see the posts from the people who are doing that. What's more likely to be true is the Bears already told him he's gone. They're currently trying to work something out with Atlanta. When he goes on vacation in a few days, he doesn't want to see the Bears or NFL account announce the news that he's been traded or will be traded.

One can almost guess which teams/agents are feeding the "NFL Experts" stories.

Falcons people must be feeding the "Justin Fields trade value is not what you think it might be" stuff.

Bears people feeding the "multiple teams bidding for Justin Fields" stuff.

Will be interesting to see what they get for him, but it would seem very difficult to bring him back when the best thing the Bears have said it that they "want to do right by Justin", not exactly a ringing endorsement.
