You don't pass on the quarterbacks in this draft to retain a player like that.

I assumed this without looking.

Ya trade Fields if ya can get a 3rd or better... draft Penix

I don't think I would prefer Nix over Fields. At worst, it's $14M for 2 years. That's the going rate for a backup. You can use your first round pick on a guy who has more upside.

At what point do you pick the 2024 Grindy McWhitepants QB?

Bo Nix seems to be the guy at this year.

I like Penix and think he will likely be at least above average.

He needs to be able to throw touch passes, though.

McCarthy is that guy.. He'll be a top 16 pick. Bo Nix isn't on the team.

 Your thoughts on Quarterbacks are always terrible

My thoughts on Fields were spot on and they came before he ever stepped on the field in a Bears jersey. Enjoy your Emo Diva.

You're just negative on every Bears player. I mean, you're already negative on a guy who they haven't even drafted yet.

He doesn't know why C-Will is a pain in the ass, but he believes he is. Besides, I thought those people like it packed in.

Just have to get someone else to fall in love with your guy and be willing to trade up to #9.

I would trade down and get as many high end picks as possible. I would also trade Fields for whatever I could get. Then I would sign Cousins and draft a QB later who cold develop for a few years. Cousins is good most of the time but can have an awful game here and there. Just hope the awful game isnt a playoff game. Caleb is already a pain in the ass and he isn't even in the league yet. It will only get worse.

In what way?

Having an overbearing parent as an agent, allowing all the talk about him not wanting to be drafted by certain teams, his inability to react like a normal athlete after losing his 4th game of the season during the middle of the season and his teammates comments about his backup after he set the bowl game on fire.

Another awful football take from UMN

Once again, Caleb Williams is smart to not have an agent. Williams already has a team of financial/marketing people due to his NIL dealings. He also is locked into the salary that the #1 overall gets.

Agreed. There is no reason to give good dolphin $1.5M.

I agree.. I wouldn't have an agent either. I'd keep that 3% for myself

Not so much a pain in the ass, but there's a possibility he's a mope. That's my concern.

I don't see that. I see a young killer trying to figure out the best way to control raw emotions. I suspect you'll learn he's made of the stuff you and I appear to value.

If Poles picks him, I'm all in. I'm heading that way anyway because there's no Fuckin' Haul. Even Peter King's haul isn't enough.
