This one is shaping up to be a real "slobberknocker"

For the record, my money is on the Cult. Literally

MANY members of the Fields Cult are now members of Groupthink. The Groupthink membership was only 3 or 4 people until this year. The Fields Cult is bleeding members. The writing is on the wall. Don't go down sipping kool-aid.

The bored in a rout.

The Fields cult is down to the people who don’t need to be tricked into drinking the kool-aid.

CFMB's "Groupthink" would never be able to recover from such an epic defeat if Fields isn't dealt Caleb Williams is. They are the equivalent of the poker player who has now gone "all in" on the bet by placing all of his chips in the center of the table.

Because it’s the right move.

Anybody who’s watched Williams and/or college football and/or the Bears offense over the past few years understands the situation. It’s why the Williams camp isn’t as emotional as the Fields cult. This is a no-brainer. .

Williams really doesn't have a "camp" however. Adam Hoge talked about it a few days ago. And you see it here. Groupthink is a helluva lot more about Justin Fields hate than it is Caleb Williams love.

its the obvious move to take caleb, which means even if he fails we wont blame the decision.

its funny to me how fields is apparently not even a starter in this league now. he is getting all the ammo he needs to micheal jordan this shit, and im not ruling out that he can.

It’s about the opportunity to have a great quarterback. Fields cultists don’t even argue his play has been good, they just make excuses and complain people are mean to him.

Well I guess the cfmb group think is pretty much in like with over 30 nfl GMs. So... there's that.

Drunk Josh Lucas will be on Hoge and Jahns tomorrow. He still has some contacts on the team. Hopefully he can shed some light on what is going on at Halas Hall.

The Bears GM has actually provided validation for his supporters by shitcanning the people used as rationalizations for his "failings" And trading away a No. 1 overall last year just to keep him.

:salut: but I ain't the only one who thought this guy wasn't franchise, wasn't the first either if that's what you mean. What's been your take lately and on Fields generally?

Justin Fields is an open-ended straight draw on the river. There are enough outs that if the bet is small enough in relation to the pot, you call. Except that would put you all in.

Caleb Williams is like being under the gun 7-handed with a pair of Jacks. You have to bet out, but the flop may destroy you.

Which bet would you rather make? The one that if you lose at long odds, you are out of money (Fields) or the one that you probably are also going to lose more often than you win, but you can stay in the game (Williams)?

It's math. You have to draft Williams. Even though there's a 1 in 3 chance he's going to be a Mark Sanchez level bust.

Someone sure has been talking a lot about off season football around here lately; a lot of which touches upon out of town teams. Starting multiple threads even.

Chet, it's over on Fields. We know what he is.

There is a chance he eventually resurrects his career like Geno Smith. But it's not going to be next year.

His best situation is to go to Baltimore and be a backup with a better coaching staff, and see what happens in free agency after that. Get a 4th for him and get a conditional 2026 4th if he plays 30%+ of Baltimore's snaps next year.

Sanchez? I dunno, I think C-Will can at least par with Sean Salisbury.

Looking forward to hearing Caleb on sports talk radio after he retires. Drive time with C-Will on WMVP
