Not a chance. Fields never comes off his first read so no point in getting a 2nd WR like Allen if you are sticking with him.

What we see as an option and what they see as an option may be entirely different. I’m a bit worried if I’m being honest.

Poles might not be smart enough to see what’s right in front of him. He might be the Grand Wizard of ‘the Cult’

What if Poles is ltg. That would suck so much.

I was thinking Kevin Warren could be LTG. That could explain all self-promotion, DEI Hires and lack of production at work.

I don't know how you can be watching what has happened in this first week of free agency with some of the retread QB's coming off the board seemingly without even a sniff of interest in Justin Fields and be able to confidently say "not a chance". It's more of a chance today than it was last week. The Bears are in the drivers seat, they can go in any number of directions, take Williams, trade down and try to position themselves to take a different QB if Williams isn't their guy, or roll with Fields and use their picks in other areas.

You are all over the place. Fields value has been shown. Nobody in the NFL wants him, yet the Bears, in prime position to do whatever at QB, are going to roll with Justin Fields next year. That makes zero sense.

It makes sense if the bears management likes him and don’t post here.

More Lombardi:

said the rest of the league was watching Getsey to see his level of interest in Fields.
I guess the rest of the league does not blame Getsey for
Fields lack of ability.

Return won’t be as big if they do it now, they’ll need to wait and see if a QB slips during the draft. That’s the best way to maximize 9. Poles doesn’t have the patience to wait that long.. I think he moves off of #1 and wouldn’t be surprised if a deal is all but done already to do it.

We’ll see. This move has an ominous feel to it for me.

You think the Redskins or Patriots are trading future assets to move one or two spot? You think the Bears are willing to leave the draft with the 3rd worst quarterback?

No, I think it’s possible the Bears could trade that pick to any number of teams who will give up future assets and much more. I also think it’s possible they stick with Fields.

It’s not what I want them to do, but these moves have got me wondering for sure.

The surprising lack of interest in Fields absolutely raises the possibility that the Bears weren't really shopping him and have other ideas.

It's a really good conspiracy theory. The Bears have tucked Fields away out of the country.

Dan Graziano said the Bears are asking for too much for Fields so teams are moving on. No idea what they are asking for

The Bears are having trade conversations about a player they want to keep, but no conversations about a pick they want to trade? That's an interesting theory.

It's clear that the Bears aren't going to just give him away. If they even want to trade him at all.

It's also clear that Fields is more valued around the league than he is by CFMB 's "Groupthink". I wonder why.

The bears don't want him. They will ultimately give him away for small returns.

If any other team thought he was in any way good, he'd have returned a first or early second. Anything less is a sign that pretty much the entire league knows he is seriously flawed.

That being said we know it only takes one crazy gm to inflate value.

That being said if that doesn't happen.... yikes.

The bears DO have him on the block. The Eagles approached the bears on it according to an earlier post. They didn't agree on price. Not availability. Price.

You're overdosing on the kool-aid. The league thinks less of Fields than we do. MANY thought a 2nd round pick would be the MINIMUM return for Fields. The league disagrees.

I have no problem criticizing bad management, case in point the stupid White soxstory. But I don't see bad performance from Warren or Poles.
